Since the creation of Reddit, fans have had the opportunity to discuss their own personal theories on films to no end and with total reckless abandon. While some of them are totally outlandish and borderline absurd, there are actually some that hold weight. We have curated a list of our twenty five favourite Pixar theories that we believe might actually be true. We’ll be looking at conspiracy theorist Jon Negroni theory that suggests that every single Pixar movie is interconnected starting with Pixar’s very first movie Toy Story and up until now. Negroni explains how in Brave animals took on human characteristics when the queen turns into a bear, and over the course of time animal intelligence grew and they were able to walk, talk and dress themselves. In addition, we’ll be covering which characters are related (spoiler, it has to two with a man who only wears loin clothes and two chilling sisters) as well as what lies beneath the hood of the characters in Cars. We’ll discuss how powerful emotions and memories are in the Pixar universe and dive into some darker theories that suggest some characters are not what they seem. Ever wonder where the monsters in monsters inc came from? Or why Andy’s dad in Toy Story is never around? All your questions will be answered in our video and you’ll leave with your mind fully blown. Kick back, relax, and join us on this journey as we sift through the best Pixar theories out there.

Theory 11; Ego’s apparent mother. This doesn’t seem to be a well established theory. Simply to connect the flashback that Ego has and comparing it to the beginning scene using common household items as evidence, doesn’t really suggest that the old lady is Ego’s mother. A better way to establish that the old lady is his mother could be correlated through the house’s interior and the open farm lands how Ego’s flashback is similar (if not the same) as the old lady’s home.
Perhaps with some of these theories maybe give some evidence or a link where these theories are from. Because some are just bad without proper elaboration.
The pizza planet cars could be a reference to the real pizza planet that closed some time in the 19 somethings (not the one at Disney places)

Nemo is just a figment of Marlin's imagination?
So that diver was just like: "Yeah I'ma just scoop up this water into my netted bag. This is very nice water, what a great discovery."
I HEART THIS COMMENT
Right?? And what about the whole chunks of movie focusing on Nemo away from Marlin and interacting with other characters, and the whole chunks of movie with characters interacting with Nemo in front of Marlin. And Finding Dory! This list was made in 2019, after all, they should be accounting for Finding Dory.
Nemo translates to “nothing” in Latin.

When you think about it, that is very likely. Partysaurus rex takes place 10+ years after Monsters Inc. Monsters are kinda animals, and you know how you humans treat animals. (Vietnamese flashbacks of deforestation and pollution)

Pixar was doing that well before Marvel was just a twinkle in Disney’s eye.
Personally I think the toilet seat was themed AFTER Sully’s fur, not made FROM it. The purple spots are WAY too small and a much darker color than Sully’s, also the teal fur is WAY too bright, and the texture looks more like carpet then fur.
(Timestamp 9:45 , there’s a picture of Sully directly before as well.)
If ya think about it in a more lighthearted way, I see the toilet seat cover as an iconic merch item for the famous polka-dotted monster who changed relations with humans from fear to joy.
Because you can’t tell me Sully and Mike wouldn’t have merch. Especially Sully.
I don't remember if Reck it Ralph is pixar but in Ralph Breaks the Internet there are a lot of easter eggs. If you look in the extras there is a thing showing you all them.

Actually Andy's dad died from cancer (I think it was cancer, maybe another illness). And there are plenty of photos of him. The photos along the stairs are of him, not Andy. There are differences that tell us it is Andy's dad. And it is confirmed actually.
tbh Andy's dad being military would explain just as much as the divorce theory.
@@Amy-nl7sf I do agree with that theroy. I am from a family who has had family serving in the US Military all the way back to it just beginning. When you have family serving you don't know where they will be sent. I am unsure what year this takes place in but is entirely possible that Andy's father died over seas. And the reason his mother never wears her wedding ring is it may be to painful for her look at same reason for the pictures.

If you look closely, at 14:42 from A Bugs Life, the same exact trailer in the same location (also with the Pizza Planet truck) appears when Randall is sent through the final door at the end of Monsters Inc (14:57 if you're curious). This further supports the theory that these are interconnected

the Edna Mode theory: by thinking like a villain, she knows what a villain will do, thus creating the costumes to protect the wearer as much as possible (if that makes sense😂) so she’s not a villain, just clever
Makes perfect sense and is something done in real life. Everyone from sports teams to militaries try to get into the minds of their opponents to anticipate what they’ll do. Even centuries ago, Sun Tsu wrote in “The Art of War” “know yourself, know your enemy and you hold the key to victory.”

There needs to be a Pixar movie where the Pizza planet truck is a centerpiece. Pixar hass basically been teasing us with this for decades. It's time for the trailer for the movie. Nemo is a figment of Marlins imagination? Who were all the other characters talking to? Mr Ray, the fish in the tank, Dory? This is complete bunk.
If the whole movie is from Marlin's perspective (which it would be cause we can see Nemo as well) he could make up those interactions.
Though the theory is far fetched, I have to agree
@@TheElisabethMaria The problem with this explanation is that we have situations with just Nemo by himself. For anyone who knows Latin. You may recall that “nemo” means “no one” literally translated. Therefore “finding nemo” could be read as “finding no one”. Just sayin

The Nemo is a reference to Capt. Nemo from 2000 leagues under the sea.
I did actually know this and have been thinking about it since I saw it.

The problem with theory #24 is that Syndrome was too arrogant to ever allow someone else to design something as personal as his super suit. I doubt he would have even asked someone else for advice, for that matter.
Yeah when he appears as a kid he already had a cape and suit. Probably home made. Since his rocket boots were.
I think the idea of having a suit made for him by the most famous super suit designer would appeal to his strong desire to "belong" and to be a part of the Super world
@@vandal280 That would make sense if he was trying to fit into the super scene, but he was offing the supers so he would be the only one that could stop the mech as part of his plan to destroy the super scene.
Another reason just occurred to me. I doubt he would ever go to Edna because they are the same sort of "super": inventors. Edna creates all the materials she uses in her designs, so Buddy would likely see her as a rival that already has legitimacy in the super scene.
pixar: let's just put this pizza truck in as a smol cameo to make them pizza lovers and theorists happy

Theory .... The pizza truck is like pixar's Stan Lee
LoL
REST IN PIECE STAN LEE
rip stan lee :(
I always thought of John Ratzenberger as the Stan Lee of Pixar, since he makes an appearance of some kind in every single Pixar movie to date very similarly to Stan Lee in every Marvel movie up as of now (and sadly because of his passing, his Endgame appearance will be his final one.) This is a little bit different compared to the Pizza Planet Truck since actually hasn't appeared in every single Pixar film, being in every single one except the Incredibles. That's just the way I look at it though, and if you think differently that's cool :D

Wow I remember A Bug's Life looking a lot more polished as a kid. Makes sense since that movie is 20 years old now
"There once was a time when humans and monsters lived in harmony."
Me, who used to be in a Undertale phase:"Hey! This sounds familiar..."
1) Somewhat believeable to an extent
2) Thats the whole meaning to the movie(but not necessarily colonialism, could relate to nowadays)
3) Could be true, maybe the company that was trying to get his house was actually a metaphor to his time on earth being over, but if that were the case then why add Charles Munson
4) Actually very believable as Marlin does show the stages of grief
5) Not really believable
6) Big stretch because the monsters don't travel through time
7) Maybe, could be true but Monsters Inc. tried hiring scary looking monsters
8) Andy's moms' name is Jennifer, not Emily
9) More believable, maybe could explain Wall-E
10) Believable
11) Could be Ego's mother but I doubt that's why Remy cooks it perfectly
12) False, Brave is in the 10th century while Frozen takes place in the 19th century
13) the First one is a far stretch as Wall-E missed his family and even then it'd be hard to go against hundreds of robots, the second one is also a far stretch but more believable than the other
14) I didn't really understand it because he said that Randall is the scariest then says that he was scaring Andy(which is believable if that was what he was going for)
15) Lol that's funny and really believable
16) Didn't really understand what the theory was since he said in an extra part they(directors) explained that they did so not really a theory
17) Could be, but doubtful about it since she's been making suits for a really long time for heroes, if she were a villain why do that?
18) Not a theory
19) Not believable as a lot of security cameras still use outdated software and are in black and white
20) Literally what the movie is about
21) That is actually an interesting theory and could be true
22) Oh idk maybe because Sadness touhed it?????!!!
23) Not a theory at all
24) That's literally what Pixar does in every movie they try to have a bigger meaning behind every movie
25) Because Pixar does this everytime, like when in monsters inc the showed the ball from toy story and the opening pixar scene
Most of what he said was just him trying to get views as most of them aren't theories as they could be true, are true, or are absolutely impossible

So small explanation, Edna, by what I have seen seems to have been a villain in the past. I cant exactly confirm this but the fact she knows the way multiple superheros had passed and the others don't points to potential proof along with the rest of the theory's.
Or, she could just be someone who interacts and talks to heroes a lot more than anyone else..
She needs to know more about their missions than most people so she can prepare them, and superheroes tend to be quite secretive

In all honesty, I actually think there was a funny scene from Monsters Inc. Where Randall was disguising against the wall when it showed a scene of a cowboy costume and his head became visible, making it look like he was wearing the costume. Maybe it was referancing Woody? Just a suggestion.
i thought it was an obvious reference, an easter egg in plain sight.
Watching Up, I was in shock. I was in the theater with my kids trying to hide my tears. I had no idea something like that could happen. I haven’t cried that much from an unknown cartoon character since Bambi’s mom.
You have not seen the Futurama episode about Fry's dog then.
One: Andy’s dad is actually dead. There’s a SCB video on it. Two: There’s other theories about Cars, namely the ones that the cars are actually alive, or that the cars take on the personas of their previous owners. Again, watch SCB’s video.
Could you share the video? I'm afraid I don't know what SCB means so I can't find it. In the meantime, does it explain why the dad isn't in any photos, cuz it seems a strange thing for a mom to lose her husband and immediately put away her family's reminders of him. It would be a rather cruel thing to do to their kids, surely.

Pixar making toy story: what if we made two parents. Other pixar employee: nah ones easier
@@TheDruidicThief yeah at the time, they weren't too great at making humans
@@revanche1431 Legitimately they didn't add a dad because it would've used up valuable budget and resources, it was just way too difficult with the technology and budget at the time. Especially since they reworked the movie from it's original storyline. And likely, due to this, they just never designed the dad to show up in photos later. Though if the theory that he's dead IS true, he died relatively shortly before the movie takes place since the daughter is still a baby - and seems too young/small to be 2+ - so it's been maybe a little over a year or less time. Not taking into account the idea that he died shortly after she was found to be pregnant - or before she even truly knew. Which if that's the case, then putting away the reminders of him might've been to avoid extra stress during the pregnancy which would be wise, and with the baby so young in the movie she probably didn't have the time to put them back up [but that wouldn't really explain the absence of photos in later films because you'd think she'd eventually show the dad to the kids]

IS THAT A UNDERTALE REFFERENCE
But Brave and Frozen aren’t in the same universe from what I understand. Frozen is not Pixar, it’s straight up Disney
Ure right, but in the end we shouldn't forget Pixars full name. Disney Pixar
@@Alex-ye8qp They can easily drop a reference to literally anything from all time. Doesn't Have to be from their own company.
Just have to be careful how they do it because iconic images may be part of the IP and copyright of, say, Superman. So they couldn't put a Supe toy on the shelf in Andy's room. But a muscular caped hero in wild colors might go.
So a reference between Frozen and Brave would be a good tease of their sibling. I would expect that.
No way Violet and Boo could be the same person because Boo's real name is Mary.
Exactly!
@BeagleWithTheBagel 2007 What is?
Wolfy Wispers Yeah because she makes violet colored force fields
Yup, Mary Gibbs
What if she just changed her name
I reckon that Russ in UP isn't trying to earn a badge, but is trying to earn his wings.
And he's not just any kid, he is the baby that Carl and Ellie lost.
He is trying to help Carl get to heaven, but his connections to earth are represented by the house.
That's an amazing theory hope that's true
I suppose that kinda explains how Russell showed such interest in the House.
(And yes, I capitalize House since I think it's as much a character as Carl or Russell.)
But, Russell has a dad.....
and then he goes up ...
That's actually a pretty good theory and a heartwarming one.
Would be interesting to see an Edna movie to show how she became a Villanova, and then turned good
if I worked at Disney or Pixar I would be laughing at so many people.
“Monsters and men lived in harmony”
Me : undertale?
Yes that’s what I thought
???
That was exactly me
I love undertale. I hate it when people take anything and find a way to reference undertale.
If you don't know this reference I feel disappointed "GET DUNKED ON"
Actually Andy’s dad died of polio when Andy was younger
o
o
proof?
The proof is in an episode of SuperCarlinBrothers
o
Bro when he said that boo was heartbroken so she decided to create time travel 💀
Awesome!
New Theory: Boo is a toilet cover decorator.
Well, I've had that idea for a long time. But in order for Boo to be a toilet cover decorator (bc that job doesn't exist) she'd have to be a designer. What other Pixar character is a designer? The one from the Incredibles. Edna. Although, of course, Boo's name is Mary. But Mary time travels, so she can't use her real name. So she uses Edna as an alias.
Of course she could be Violet but i don't think so
Guy with no intro Pixar shorts create PROBLEMS!
"She's always been a single mom, and made the decision to have the kids on her own..."
Um...how? DO YOU MEAN ANDY'S MOM CAN REPRODUCE ASEXUALLY!?
Or adoption...
Deoxy, how about dead. It's said that Andy's father died before Toy Story 1 even started and that some of the pictures on the wall are actually of him. And that the original owner of Woody was his father. This all means that the original toy story film took place inside Andy Sr. childhood home.
Artificial insemination
Uh, no, that Andy’s dad was never around post baby making.
No, she lays eggs.
The RV with the Pizza planet truck is in monsters inc and a bugs life never realized that till this video
If you also notice, the trailor in a Bug's Life is the same one that Randall was transported to at the end of Monsters inc.
Frozen is not a PIXAR movie it was created by Disney
oh yeh
Disney owns pixar
@@Texas_Cody yes but they are still seperate.
But Pixar is better than Disney
@@sullyoncrak6599 on what planet?
"Boo learns how to time travel"
Yea, because that's how easily it's done
Hades Daughter eh marvel did it
@@KarlaHernandez-ro1dl They also have a person that can/could change into a giant green or blue "monster" lol They don't count
Hades Daughter 😂I know but still
She wished upon a star
Maybe the doors in Monsters Inc are time travel machine’s
We talked about Up in psychology class once and watched the beginning, I cried 2:11
Anyone else notice when Screen Rant was showing off the Pizza Planet cameos... In Bug's Life and Monster's Inc, it was the exact same trailer! This is a detail I never noticed before, it means bugs life takes place shortly after the time period in which the doors lead to from Monster's Inc.
Stan Lee is the one driving that Pizza Planet truck.
Alternatively, the Sully toilet cover is from a kid who saw Sully (possibly Boo) and the pattern of his fur lodged in the kid's memory, consciously or subconsciously affecting certain design choices they made. Every tragic theory has a more pleasant theory mirroring it.
Pretty sure there was a scene in a bugs life where there were humans having a picnic. No more humans after WALL-E theory sinks...
