Liberace Introduces Rolf Harris - Jake the Peg - The Liberace Show

- Liberace introducing a solo act on his show seems rather a rarity, but here is Rolf Harris singing Jake the Peg. Look out for right at the end when Liberace has three hands on his piano!

It was what he did with his fourth leg that turned out to be the problem
I've got a 3rd leg and 2 Ann summers toys. I've tied down wildlife too.
@@TheDogsboddy . 2 braincells white none red and do you have two eyes too. Sense of humour you don't have that's evident...........

A lot of people will be sad Rolf Harris has died. He touched so many people.
He had no extra leg to stand on...
if you dont like him dont listen
It hurts just discovering this guy, enjoying his work as an artist myself, and then only to scroll down to the comments as if its the first time I've ever picked up a news paper. I now know what it feel like to be Patrick from Spongebob. Living under a rock.
😂
😂
They used to have us dance this in p.e lessons at school back in the early 90's.
Great talent will be missed.
He sung it in a Dutch accent because the song was adapted in 1965 from a version performed by Frank Roosen (a Dutch performer from Vancouver, Canada). The original Dutch party skit was "(Ik ben) van der Steen".
i remember him performing this at our primary school in either 1969 or 1970. A huge talent. Shame about the other stuff.
Did he touch you
No and if he'd tried I would've broken more than his three legs!! LOL
Other stuff.....Like he was caught shoplifting at Woolworths or something.
sorry i dont think it was true just trying to make money i will always love him

I remember Rolf Harris first doing Jake the Peg during one of his shows in 1969. I was young enough to think he really did have three legs!

He is very versatile. He can be top and bottom.
With all of his wrong doings. I was sad to hear of his death. Rolph had a big impact on my childhood. He was amazing with a big paint brush. I was blown away as a kid.
'' There's one wonderful thing that he does that's so wild that he does''
I wonder what?
The first time I heard Rolf Harris sing was on his hit song 'Sunarise' released in 1963.
Absolutely brilliant song !
I enjoy watching this in spite of all that's happened.

Still a genius! The coordination required to achieve the effect is mind-blowing! I've tried it.
What? Touching kids?
Shut up Niel

ROLF....I mean ROFL!
When people think of Australia they thing of kangaroos and this guy lol
Ha! I happen to think of this guy when I think of indecent assault.
Harris was only born in Australia because his Welsh parents emigrated there. He hasn't lived down under for at least 50 years and his wife is also Welsh.
He turned his back on that country and that country has turned its back on him. All of his Australian honours are gone.
And Alf from Home and Away. Flamin' mongrels.

Rolf, Dame Edna, Crocodile Dundee 🐊ect. That's Australia 🇦🇺
I love you're country. I even have an Australian as a pet. a budgie named Cheeky and he loves Rolf 🤷♂️😂
He also wrote and sang, ' 'Let me Abos go loose, Lou, Let me Abos go loose. They're of no further use, Lou, so let me Abos go loose.' Taken from the original version of 'Tie Me Kangaroo Down Sport'.
In the uk his " two little boys" made no.1 for 5 weeks over the Xmas of 1969
He's done worse
I've got that song on record.
In Denmark the actor and ventriloquist Kai Løvring did an alternative version called "Frode, med det ekstra hoved" - which can be translated to "Fred with the extra head". He would wear a suit with two collars and had the extra (artificial) head on his shoulder and it would sing the diddle part.

Rolf did this too but his extra head was a one eyed purple trouser snake
RIP Rolf Harris.
Jimmy page. Iggy pop. David Bowie. Mick jagger. Bill Wyman. Steve Tyler. I could go on and on. All these stars, plus countless more, are well known to have been with 13 year old girls and not done time for it. Some can get away with it. Others can’t. The people on here bagging Rolf, if you’re a led zeppelin fan, or Rolling Stones, Aerosmith, stooges fan, you should be bagging them too. But, no, they’re allowed to do it, in your eyes.
that's why I don't complain about Rolf Harris, humans are flawed, all complain about him while they followed the most corrupt world cup and use TikTok despite the chinese crimes against humanity
Dont try and make him a victim you prick
'Two little boys had two little toys!' Was this a harbinger of what was to come?

Two legends!
Really?
Well, three leg-ends …
Rolf's nightclub act in the mid-sixties was charming, rogue-ish, and hilarious. It's documented on three LP records recorded in Vancouver nightclubs and released only in Canada. I don't think his nightclub act is well remembered, but to me it may be his enduring achievement. And a slice of a brand of good-natured public humor that, sadly, can no longer exist again.
Do you think his victims thought the act was funny?
He had a TV show in Australia for many years. He's from Perth but has lived in the UK for quite a long time.

I am from Perth and worked just up the road from where Rolf grew up in Bassendean as a kid I marveled at his talent it is such a shame the way it all ended the way it did and he disgraced himself,,,,I am told his parents and family were decent people,,,So sad for his victims,,,
Pity about the man himself, but this act was still an entertaining piece of Vaudeville.
Christ how old is this, that Liberace introduces RH as a young man?
7 years late here but this was in 1969 so Rolf would have been 39. Not exactly super young, but Liberace was about 50
Liberace and Rolf on same stage that's completely acceptable!!!🤮🤮🤮
this made me laugh so much
And this was a cultural contribution to Montreal '67.
Bravo good dr
Loved this as a child it seems tarnished now
Nooo a part of my childhood died, I used to listen to this song almost everyday
why cant people just enjoy the entertainment and stop believing what they have been told
Seems to me....the right leg is false, so is the right hand. His right arm is concealed in the coat and he controls the fake right leg from there,
Absolutely!
It is. I remember having a costume book as a child. It gave a 3 legged man as a character. The outside right leg is false and operated by the right hand hidden under a raincoat that is advised to be two sizes larger than you would usually wear. It was a great book. Played a skeleton that disappeared on turning round. And a witch 🧙♀️ with Rice Krispie warts!
rather clever
Rest in Peace Rolf 😢 gone but not forgotten

No matter what has come out since, Rolf Harris was a genius entertainer, musician, painter and comedian and his work should remain shown forever.
I don't agree with abuse in any way, but I grew up watching this man on TV and listening on radio and his albums and singing and laughing along to it all.. He is a part of my childhood and his performances brought me joy, they still do and they always will.
Does that go for Jimmy Savile, Gary Glitter ( Paul Gadd) , Max Clifford and Stuart Hall?
He's Pervert and always will be just like Savile
Just hilarious.
Which one do you think is the artificial leg? Left, middle or right?
I'm thinking the right leg. The way he always keeps his right hand near his pocket makes me think there's something that he pulls to make the right leg move or something
@@troymartin4260 His right leg and hand are both fake. He uses his arm inside the coat to manipulate the fake leg.
