I work for Magic Ears and I am from South Africa but I have been able to alter my accent to sound more North American. To be honest this has really helped me with getting hired with other companies too. I love working for Magic ears, I love their interactive platform and great cancellation policies. Great video! I work on italki and Preply as an English tutor and am from South Africa. Both are great! Just a correction though. Italki takes 15% and not 11% as per your video. Also, for these platforms, you don't need any certification to become a community tutor. I did do my TEFL certification after already being on the platforms for around 6 months and then upgraded my profile to professional tutor. Verbling is also available to South Africans.

I have applied to Cambly but they do not get back to me.

I guess the answer depends on the company. What company? Does the company have adult students? Cambly does but , yeah, they dont take everyone and because of the load shedding in SA, that might be why - if you are a SA'n.

Potentially Cambly, but if you are trying to work for a company and teach English you need to get a TEFL.
