The big thing is that the woman made it right to the best of her ability. What did she take? An axolotl plush. What did she return? A near identical axolotl plush. Yeah it’s not exactly the same, but the crime wasn’t that big monetarily, and if we can’t extend grace to someone who is genuinely doing their best to make things right, than how can we expect them that same grace from others for ourselves without being total hypocrites?

You handled this very well. She was drunk, celebrating, maybe she didn’t even notice she took Al Pacino with her. She still took the effort and embarrassment to have contact you, admit to doing it, and giving you another one. You just saved her from losing her job, which I don’t see how stealing a plushy from an Uber drivers car, while drunk, could get her to lose her job as a teacher. Like teachers aren’t allowed to have some adult time out of teaching. But I’m glad she still contacted you to give you a replacement.

As a professional thief I really want to thank Darren. Thanks to people like him I can steal without worrying about the consequences too much. Glad he understand that being drunk is a free pass to steal, hit someone with a car and what not... people like her teaching kids are a blessing - we all need to understand that people are not perfect, we ALL make mistakes (there are no exceptions) but what is truly important is our ability to forgive. In this life here is no need to hold grudges and take responsibility for one's actions. Be positive, negative emotions are toxin that will hurt both you and the offender, nothing good ever comes from that. Believe in karma, you are ot a judge and you are ot the one to punish people for their decisions nor I believe you have the moral and lawful stand to expose the thief.

It clearly has value to Darren otherwise he wouldn't have made the video threatening to expose her. Judging by the sentiment in the comments on the first video and the riders in this video, it clearly also has sentimental value to the fans.
Most people don't need a video threatening to expose you which would loose you your job, before realizing that stealing is wrong and that you should probably fix it.
