  • This video tutorial will show you a quick tip for sewing snouts onto amigurumi heads and show you how to embroider a triangular shaped nose onto a snout. For this example, I use 4 feet of Bernat Blanket Yarn for the nose, a yarn needle, and 6.5mm crochet hook. This style nose will be perfect if you’re making a classic teddy bear or dog. Let me know if you have any questions!

    ABOUT SIMPLY HOOKED
Hi, I'm Marcy! I learned how to crochet in October 2012. I wanted to learn something new and decided to give crochet a try. I went to Michael's to buy a beginner's kit and watched CZcams videos all weekend until I figured it out. I got addicted almost immediately. It is so fun and relaxing! Once I got more comfortable with the different stitches, I started making stuffed animals. They are so much fun to make!
Later I began selling on Etsy and at craft fairs. I'm so thankful I stumbled upon the art of crochet -- it has been such a blessing in my life. I love starting every project with a blank skein of yarn and turning it into an adorable plushie for little one's to enjoy. I am originally from the beautiful Lowcountry of South Carolina, and now reside in North Carolina.

Thank you so much, such a simple thing to match the colour - but I would never have thought of it, also the patience when building the snout really pays….you are very kind to share your work.

Great way to change colors for the snout! I love the way you finish by going through the stitch you went in on, then tying and tucking it. 💕

This vid of yours, is like you know that people decided that this is the year that they're going to work out how to do amigurumi! My 2 goals for crochet this Jan was Mosaic and amigurumil Well I'm just finishing a blanket done in Mosaic. (why I decided that I needed to make a queen sized blanket for my first mosaic crochet project has me a bit befuddled, but I've managed it and looks great too!) But out of the 2 projects, amigurumi had me more nerves. And it's the faces and details like this that worried me more. Thank you for showing these tips. Love it!!!!
