George Reeves was not that much of a humbe nerdy goof ball as he resented superman ruining his career. I also don't know what Chris Reeve was like.

Routh in my opinion is the best modern Superman. He has the goofiness that Clark Kent needs but can also pull off hero attitude of Superman. Yeah he was given a pretty crappy movie, but honestly he’s an amazing actor
I was sold on his performance as Superman and looked forward to him continuing. It really felt like Christopher Reeve stepped back on screen.
I really love that the pair of them had so much clear chemistry that it made more sense for their characters to get together as well.
I agree, I don't think Nora and Ray was the plan until they saw how popular Nora's character was. Once they saw that, they had to figure out how to keep her on, I think that's what lead to them being like, well these 2 already capture every scene they share together, let's hook their characters up lol
If WB really wants to get rid of Cavill and bring in someone else, Routh should be the guy.

Mason Zikman Nope. Unfortunately, he’s stated that it was not his decision to leave the show, nor was it his wife’s. It was a decision made by the producers... who didn’t even bother to give either of them a heads up about it.

His stutter is a perfect fit for clark kent's clumsy demeanour.
So, I saw the original Christopher Reeves 'Superman' in the theater in the way back and, while I'm not a fan of comic book movies nowadays, Routh does have Reeve's smile. I'm sure that was a factor in his casting, but it does hit the nostalgia button.

Outside Reeves the greatest Superman,but I really liked him as Superman but sadly was in poor movie ,and should of giving him other chance and he was far better than the current one dimension actor Henry.

@@JayR607 That's your view ,but he is a one dimension actor ,every roll he dose is the same, unlike other actor's who truly become there new roll,when Henry becomes Clark you would have to be brain dead not to see he's Super wooden man,but like my partner who accepts he can't really act was worth the cinema ticket to see him,and Rough could if giving the chance made Superman his own,and by the viewing figures many agree with this sediment.
Henry Cavill is actually a really good actor, but the way his character has been written and directed is awful. You would probably like Henry in The Witcher, on Netflix. But you're right, Brandon was an excellent Superman.

I HAVE SOMETHING COMPLETELY SEPARATE TO SAY INVOLVING IDEAS FOR (BRANDON ROUTH)
Now I can imagine actor star (Brandon Routh) could play a character role in a DC movie, and I can imagine him playing a character role in a MARVEL movie.
Now I can imagine him playing the character role of the third GREEN-LANTERN of Earth (KYLE RAYNER) in a DC movie.
I also can imagine actor (Brandon Routh) playing the character role of a villain, or a hero in a MARVEL movie; Be it as a mutant villain that the X-MEN have to fight against, or as a evil InHuman guy, or he could play the character role of a MARVEL hero be it a crime-fighter hero (or) as a superhero.
Or actor (Brandon Routh) might play the role of a scientist guy ally who helps the AVENGERS team with the many scientific projects to get made, and I can imagine that this brave scientist ally could have a son that later becomes part of the new generation of AVENGERS team, and to add I can imagine that his son is the one whose hero-name title is (GIANT-MAN) the hero who can not only shrink himself, he most importantly can make himself grow big tall in almost any size.
I still think he'd make a good Bruce Wayne....
