I'm so impressed with Tough Built's product line. They're actually putting out innovation and I think that's awesome. Very cool function.
2:07 you try your best to not say the forbidden word 😂😂
Now we just need a drum fed and belt fed version.
Can one get red dot sights and bipod for it too?
I can see how this capability would be very useful. It looks like Toughbuilt is putting some design value into their tools. I like it.
Glad your back Doc! Hope you had fun!
What an epic trip! It sounds like a great time.
Good to have you back. My personal biggest accomplishment of the last 2 weeks is learning the Spidie Flick with a Para3. Still not 100%, but getting there.
Welcome back man I was hoping you had some vids on your trip!!
I might mix in some travel video. Good idea. And I hope my SO dealer has some stuff waiting for me that I ordered before I left.
I need one!!!
Your signature line “Doc Out”
Classic!!!
Best review I've seen on this the other reviews have skipped what it's made from and the blade auto reload feature I got one very sturdy and easy to use I threw all my old retractable knives out
glad your back! i dont know if theyre a good brand or not, but i really like the open top tool bag i got from them, i love you can mix and match different attachments and some of the attachments have a kickstand so you can use them while you work on something
Hello again Doc
Welcome Back, safe and sound!!!!! Hopefully, you had a great time with the family. I know you want to just jump right in to your normal routine. I would suggest you take a moment or two to give yourself a moment to readjust to what you consider normal. Take moment to breathe, so to speak. You might surprise at what you may learn from the experience. Enjoy my Brother, and welcome back.
Welcome back!
Welcome back Doc!!! I saved money while you were gone, lol... Looking forward to hearing about your trip!!
Welcome back Doc!
Leaving the blade your using in the mag when you take it out is great for snapped blades
Am i the only one who sees a smiley face on the Toughbuilt blades 😅😅
Loved at the first sight
I’ve been waiting for months for them to release this one and they have one more utility knife. It’s called the auto loaded knife, it comes in a two back and I would really like to see a video on you reviewing that one
I had the previous generation knife/scraper combo. Very first time I used it - breaking down cardboard - something on it caught on the cardboard and it broke. The 'flipping' mechanism just came apart after 15 minutes of light use. Hopefully the new generation is a little more tough. For now I'll stick with Milwaukee and Skars. Nice review. Thx.
Welcome back brother!!!....missed you
All tools should load like guns
My Uline blue cutter broke on me and I'm looking for a new blade. I work with furniture where i work at and I'm always using a blade to cut up cardboard, straps and shrinkwrap. This toughbuilt caught my eye and I might just buy it.
you're back! :)
Curious question. Does the release button get In the way while using it?
Man, that's some mall ninja shit. I want one.
Looks great on paper. In practice it frequently ejects the magazine and dumps the blade by accident because the eject button is too easy to bump. It also jams when replacing the dumped magazine making it a nightmare to work with.
Love the videos what camera do you use? New to making videos of my own and curious what you use!
Interested as well!
Trip sounds major. Nice to have you back. I heard you mention you are a Toyota fan, same here. I'm curious about your overland vehicle. It would make a great series of videos. 🙂 🚐
I drove a 2014 Tacoma TRD Sport with fourwheel slide in camper. I also have an 84 Hilux and a 09 4Runner. I installed airbags and tork lifts on the Taco along with KO2 tires. Other than removing the back seats, I ran it mostly stock which is why I use the 14 Taco. A 15 would work as well, but I'd go a Tundra if not for a 14 or 15 TRD.
@@lastbesttool Toyota makes great products. I've had a few 4Runners and my wife has a Lexus RX. Im building out a 2002 Land Cruiser as my work vehicle with a drawer system for tool storage, etc. Have you found it beneficial to use JIS screwdrivers on the vehicles?
@@lastbesttool Those BFG's are a great match.
@@chiphill4856 I have JIS for Japan made vehicles, but many Toyotas are made here in the USA. My first car was a 1970 FJ40 in puke green. Loved the straight six and three on the tree. But is was near worthless on the highway and on ice.
@@lastbesttool The FJ40 is oozing with style but not such a great daily driver. Thanks for the tip about the JIS screws. Great channel, I'll be tuning in as usual. ✌🏼
Is this thing for sale? Can't find it anywhere
Am I crazy or does the scraper not have internal blade replacements?
What is the bottom slide dial used for?
That link didn't take me to the "Reload" knife. It takes you to the Knife/Scraper.
I don’t think the reload knife is available yet.
No pocket / belt clip ?
Its the size of two standard knives
Another melee weapon with ammunition just like that hammer!
Ruger mark 4
Same problem with the scraper for me. Way too bulky.
The blade magazine is almost as large as the knife and looks a little delicate when not in the knife (eg when carried as a spare). So I'm not really seeing a big advantage over just using different knives for different blades...
Good points. I see where the mag could be both damaged and opened, however, with all new features, there is a tradeoff. Toughbuilt could make a knife holster with mag storage. Now that would be next level.
Yeah holster is needed. I suppose one could be made, even e
3d printed. Unfortunately I'm not seeing the reload on amazon.
What about second half of the blade you're wasting them
While these are "cool".... I have used mine some and found the blades are not retained well enough. If you are drag cutting and your blade binds in material it will pull right out of the tool. Unacceptable IMO... so now this tool sits in the kitchen junk drawer as a box opener rather than in my tool bag for real work.
If they fix the blade retention issue and release a compact version... That would be ideal. The back half of the handle and magazine (where the extra stack of blades are stored) is just unnecessary bulk/weight IMO.

bought one and the cartridge jammed 2nd time i tried it. very disappointed
ATF:👀
"Tried it, doesn't work" LOL
Id buy it if it wasnt bulky. For a knife its too bulky.
I love tools. This seems dumb. 2 completely separate knives would always be more practical than this gimmick. Thanks for sharing though.
That's what I thought about the scraper/knife when I first used it. It seemed overkill for a knife and bulky for a scraper. However, the feature that won me was changing on the fly. In one hand on a ladder, I could move back and forth between tools and found that previously I would use the knife as a scraper because that what was in my hand. And vice-versa. So I am curious about the magazine option because I do know I often switch blades manually from good to sacrificial.
Working in resin we would be changing blades every 10 minutes, so I can definitely see the appeal of both. They would have made my life so much easier
I prefer my box cutter to be more compact, not the size of a pistol grip. That's what Tough Built seems like to me, clunky.
A second knife is cheaper, quicker and takes up the same space as the magazine. This is just another toy
Seems gimmicky and potential to be useless in a half year. Over engineered imo...
