There have been plenty of public warnings against attempting to drive through the Sierras during this storm, yet fools rush in and get stuck in potentially deadly situations. No sympathy here.

How can you people not know when the storm is coming😅. Most of us being on the phone all day so there's no excuse for not knowing the conditions on top of that being in a blizzard you're super dumb for that. Especially if you're not first responders or emergency crews that will make a difference in times of emergencies. If they tell you not to travel it's bad outside why would you travel anyway I don't get it I don't understand.

From what i've seen in photos, it's amazing that many of those old buildings are still standing thru many harsh winters in the sierra nevadas. I loved hearing abput the legend of bodie on the weather channel's old "american supernatural" show.

There’s time to enjoy the snow, and there will be enough for everyone especially with these forecasts. And yes, thunder snow is a thing! When storms are bad here, we have it complete with thunder and lightning.

And there's most Paying customers dont want to sit and wait they will go a Find a Company that will leave when they want to leave regardless. Theirs no in-between. It's all about Money
Alot of the resorts, lodges and condos refuse to refund cancelled reservations due to snow storms. My guess is the reason the majority folks are continuing to travel to the mountains 😕

The 395 is currently closed north of Bishop (more precisely, North of Gorge Road) due to a white out. No access to Mammoth Lakes at this time.
