    Having lost the Charity Shield 4-0 to Manchester United, Newcastle got their revenge a few months later when they ran out 5-0 winners at St James' Park. Alan Shearer, David Ginola & Philippe Albert all got on the scoresheet that night and spoke after the match about what the victory meant.

Put Gerrard in that united team you’d have won even more trophies, put scholes in that Liverpool they would win fuck all. • @swkenny
      @swkenny Před 4 lety +1

      According to United fans Scholes is the greatest player of all time the way they go on about him. Honestly there were times when he was a complete liability in a flat 4 next to Keane because he couldn't tackle for shit & would often give the ball away in stupid places on the pitch. Go back & watch some old games (not just the highlights) & you'll see exactly what I mean, that's why Ferguson would often play Nicky Butt instead because he was more reliable & solid.
      I'll admit he was a terrific player on his day but the hype he gets is laughable & cringeworthy now that he's retired & if you really want to compare him to anybody compare him to Xavi & it's a no contest, Xavi shits all over the boring little ginger prick every day of the week.
