    GO is a service that provides an alternative to car ownership and leasing by offering subscriptions to all kinds of cars. There's no money down, no haggling, or even in-person contact. Everything is done online and the car is delivered to your driveway. I decided to give this service a shot and my experience was... interesting.

    You are super patient. I can't imagine waiting that long, without active customer service. No calls, inaccurate update information when you took the initiative to reach out to them, several times. Is your name Job, lol.
    I bought my car from Carvana and it was the best experience I've had buying a car. Delivery date was prompt and arrived on time. Almost 3 years later and I will definitely use them again on my next purchase.

    Hey, thanks for the info in the video. Question. Can you get your own insurance or they add the insurance into the monthly payment of the car.

    • @JeremyHill
      @JeremyHill  Před rokem

      They add their insurance to the monthly price, but you can use your own insurance if you live in Florida.

    Even if that was a cheap delivery from amazon and they messed me around like that I'd be pissed and cancel it.

      I came close to doing that until they offered to take money off my bill. That and I came so far I just wanted to see it through.

    Yeah the customer service seems to be pretty lacking there, but I was still somewhat interested until you mentioned it being a 3 year time period. If it was more like 3-6 months and you get to exchange that would be fun, but if I was going to get a car subscription I'd want to have the option of more frequent swaps w/o paying a penalty.

    • @JeremyHill
      @JeremyHill  Před rokem

      Yeah, I hear you. The 3 years didn't bother me much because I've only owned cars that were around 20 years old for my whole adult life. Anything modern is a huge upgrade for me.

    😂😂😂u was real patient after the July 11 n my car ain’t come I’d be calling to cancel. Question so u said 3 yrs wat if after 3 months I do t want it. . Can I drop off the car n they stop taking my money ?? Wat about accidents ?

    • @JeremyHill
      @JeremyHill  Před rokem

      If you decide you don't want the car after it's delivered, you'll have to give them 30 days notice and a $999 restocking fee. For accidents, their insurance has a $1,000 deductible you have to pay before they schedule it to be repaired. They'll replace the wrecked car if it's totaled.

    I had a similar experience! I didn't have nearly as many problems once the delivery was scheduled, but prior to it being scheduled, my estimated delivery date was changed multiple times and the car came about 6 weeks after the initial estimate! Once it did arrive, I had temp tags from Ohio for a month, then they sent me temp tags from Texas for the next few weeks, and then I was told they could no longer print temp tags and that I can order Uber/Lyft for wherever I need to go and that Go would cover it! I chose to just drive around with expired temp tags, knowing that I could get a ticket if I got caught. A few weeks later I received a license plate from Florida (I live in Georgia). All in all, it was kind of a mess, but I'm saving a lot of money on car payments and insurance, so I'm content at this point.

    • @JeremyHill
      @JeremyHill  Před rokem

      Wow they really suggested taking Uber and Lyft? What a mess. I hope they gave you compensation for all your trouble. Also, they've started requiring customers in some states to buy their own insurance. Georgia is safe for now.

    • @jeddordal
      @jeddordal Před rokem

      Haha yeah I was pretty surprised. They definitely are a business in flux. It seems like they're always changing things or adding to their site. It does seem to be getting better, though. I like the mileage tracker and the new mileage bank that they added. I hope they don't require us to get our own insurance in Georgia anytime soon. That's one of the big reasons this whole thing works for me. They're charging me $95/month for insurance, whereas I can't get my own insurance for under $200 in Atlanta here.

      Update: they cancelled my subscription along with numerous other 2022 subscribers

    What about maintenance (scheduled and unscheduled)? Are you paying that or is it included in the price?

    • @JeremyHill
      @JeremyHill  Před rokem +1

      GO will reimburse up to $75 for scheduled preventative maintenance for oil changes and tire rotations. The cars have a full factory warranty from the manufacturer. The details may vary depending on the vehicle's make, but the manufacturer typically covers parts and labor for defects for a certain period of time.

      @@M0DFATH3R Was supposed to pick up yesterday, I couldn't make it before they closed. I called the number (it's not in the US) and they called the local branch to say I'd be in first thing today.
      On the bad side, they rented out the car I had(mid size, Jetta type). On the plus side, they put me in a Volvo S60 for the same price. Obviously if they had no card available it might have been bad they rented mine out, in this case it worked out. I'll be in North Dakota do the all wheel drive will be nice.

    What kind of car can you get? I’m curious. I absolutely love cars. I’m more of a sports car type gal 🥹☺️ I went to Carmax this year and purchased a car. Go does seem interesting. Buy that 3 year thing… idk

    • @JeremyHill
      @JeremyHill  Před rokem

      I'd say they mostly carry commuter cars, trucks, SUVs and a couple hybrids. They had a couple Tesla models at one point. No sports cars unfortunately.
