When my brother wrecked his motorcycle and was in the hospital brain dead ... I was up all night trying to get a flight home ... So when I finally made it to the airport by 7am I looked ragged from crying all night long ... Then out of everyone, I was selected to extra attention while being searched ... And couldn't take my water and had too big of a carry on and just everything went wrong ... Flight was delayed so I didn't even get to say goodbye ... And on the way back I had some of my brother's belongings to remember him by and all of it was searched through as well ... All in all a horrible flight experience .

My mom always gets “specially selected” every time we travel. She’s always either dropping her ID or trying to bring items that you normally can’t bring. She’s always having issues with TSA so all of us refuse to travel with her now that we are grown.

And although I do not travel any more, when I used to travel frequently I would get stopped for the weirdest things in the weirdest places - coming out of Sudan I had security follow me all the way across the airport to "discretely" inquire about a bookmark! I mean at least they didn't frisk me right there - but they did hunt me down about a bookmark I was using 🙄🤨
Well, eReaders are kind of a big deal in this day and age. Maybe they had never seen a bookmark before! 😹😹
My airport story.I had been in the slums of Venezuela doing a missionary trip. People had pot growing in flower pots and smoking it openly. All my clothes adsorbed the odor. Drug dog spotted my suitcase. It was searched and I had to get pastor to explain situation before I moved on.
I played this game before, absolutely dumbster fire but it entertained me a few minutes 😂 Few years ago I was at the airport in Sweden and I had no idea how things works there and where I can get my ticket etc, and I almost had anxiety attack and panic attack same time. My swedish is not good but everything went well and I was happy when I got sit on a plane 😄

So when I was 5-6 years old I got an L.O.L doll in texas because it was my birthday, I had a bath bomb kit, they had to open it because there where “something wrong with the package” my mom asked for them to let me open it, they refused, I cried they while opened the package, nothing was wrong with it and they whispered to me “ it’s not my fault that you guys look weird and suspicious”my mother got frustrated and went to the bathroom and talk to my grandmother ( who had gave me the bath bomb kid ) and told the full story to her, I have never went to that airport and I never plan to.

I had a sist above one of my upper teeth and I had to deal with it all the way throughout a 12 hour flight to Germany from San Diego. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE.
My airport story is that my dad was Egyptian and a military pilot for the US.....despite that, looking vaguely brown-ish apparently means I'm a terrorist. I got interrogated for 2 hours whilr flying to Italy.....I WAS 14.

My worst air port story is when we were about to get on the plane but there was a Strom and it was delayed it was 6 pm when they said they’re going to delay more in then it was 9 and then the delayed it more it was 11 pm it was canceled for tomorrow and we had to sleep at the airport

My mom made me a homemade breakfast burrito to eat while I waited for my flight sooo I packed it in my bag nicely. I get to airport security and they stop me for my burrito which was wrapped with a napkin first then foil over that. Without opening it they asked me what it was and I said it was a breakfast burrito from my mom. I guess they didn’t believe me sooo they started pressing on the burrito, feeling it, basically squishing it!! 😭 Then they ripped the top of the foil and napkin to peel inside and sure enough, I it was a plain ol’ burrito!! They gave it back and I ended up eating my torn up and smooshed burrito. 😭 That whole process took about 20 minutes for a single burrito!! I was so upset!! Not for the wait but for my busted burrito.

I had a few back surgeries so I have a lot of “hardware” in my back so everytime I walk through the security checkpoint I get searched. And my bag always gets clocked but they never looke through it.. one time I got searched because of the metal in my back and they didn’t believe me when I said I don’t have anything on me. ( I was wearing leggings and a t-shirt) so they took their hand metal detector thingy made me stand to the side and they checked me like three times.. asked their supervisor if I was allowed through and after all that both of my bags got clocked. So after 30 minutes of being searched, I spend another 20 waiting for my bags that they just set to the side and used their computer to “look” through. Didn’t even open any of my bags and they let them go. My plane then got delayed which made my connecting flight leave without me because it got delayed 3 hours and then we got on the plane sat there for an hour. Got kicked off the plane because of mechanical issues. We got on an 2 hours later. Sat there for 45 minutes. We were supposed to get to my connecting flight around 3pm and we landed at 2am.. (time change). I missed my other flight and they had no other flights leaving for another few hours so my SIL drove 3 hours to get home from the airport. I got lost in the airport and my SIL couldn’t find me so she had to park on the side of a busy street and I found her using life 360 and hopped in the car. Let’s just say.. it was a rough day.

One of my worst airport experiences was in 2021 when we were headed to myrte beach from the boston airport and then spirit canceled our flight and then we had to go on a plane to tennessee and then we waited and then at 6:00 at night we finally made it we were supposed to get there early in the morning I was furious and on the way back one of my guardians/parents thought our plane got cancelled when it actually didn't and then we had to take a flight to somewhere in washington and then we were back in boston and didn't arrive until 12:00 that morning so we did have one extra day in myrtle beach but the airport had to give us a hotel but they weren't that comfy but i am grateful that we got a hotel room instead of sleeping in the airport. I really didn't get much sleep at the hotel they booked us but the hotel we ended up staying in before that was amazing crown reef is so fun but really expensive and that was my airport/vacation experience Love your cat Ramses so cute.
