Hands down the best commercial ever for soccer because I know that feeling when your team scores and you miss it I know the feeling and it sucks!!! 😔🥺😂
I did this to someone during the first leg of Ajax vs Tottenham. It was the only goal of that game too. I distracted him while he was watching peacefully in the library, I felt so bad.
So pretty much the commercial was about the Champions League, but the champions league has finished since June so since Champions League is no longer relevant, they changed it to MLS which the actor I think is a player from the MLS
Yes cause this commercial was about the Champions League when it was going but it already ended in June starts till September since there's no Champions League atm they took it out the current one I believe is about the MLS
For some reason, I am able to immediately pick out precisely what is "wrong" with any ad (Heineken, please contact me if an ad creator position opens). In this case, they got it all right (including the longer version) EXCEPT- the first guy misses the goal because of....wait for it....HEINEKEN! It is inarguable- that was the wrong image/reason they should have given for him missing that goal- creates an instantly negative association with Heineken for that guy. Will this oversight ruin the ad or Heineken's sales? Nope. But is this being nitpicky? Not even close- the bottom line is that It was incorrect to use that example and should not have been used. Period. Otherwise- great ad (despite the content or tag line really having inherently nothing to do with the actual product. Seriously tho, Heineken- I'm looking for an ad job and happy to constructively critique each and every one of your ads to prove my value. Have a swell day.
Actually, that's what they are trying to show. Have to understand the philosophy behind it. This will 100% attract people who watches sports/football. Cuz what are you're trying to show and point out here is not the focus of the ad. The marketing skill here is they are trying to bring out the sweet memories of these events to the customers, the memories of actually not being able to see the goal. Yes, this is what they need. And if you take a closer look, the secondary attention they trying to show is how you should be prepared before the game starts or as soon as possible. That will attract the customers to buy Heineken to watch the match. These ads are big effective. These ads Also attract those people who want to experience this type of experience aka chilling and watching champions league and enjoying it with friends/alone at night/day. The biggest example is me, a few years ago I was a big fan of the champions league (and still am) and used to watch it. After getting used to it Watching these ads gives me memories of the good times and gets me excited for the champions league, But I never experienced enjoying like the example they showed in the ad, like example coming from a hard work time and then taking a bath and watching champions league with drinking your favourite drink and enjoying it. For me, this is actually a goal and I think this indicates I am living a good life and enjoying it, one of the reasons I bought a wine glass is to experience it next time. This type of ads is effective as hell and the example of that effect is big. Example me. (I don't drink tho)
I agree with you. I think it's the overall picture of the ad and the great super at the end that wraps everything nicely. They're targeting a specific audience with that ad and wanted it to make it funny - which it is ! Great spot - well directed too. Casting is on point. I get @sean is the only negative picture in the frame. loll@@Aaryan.S
