Don't understand how he walked out so quickly and , well, freely? The guy just got convicted of 34 Felonies, isn't there a bond to be posted then and there? Admit , l don't know the ins and outs of such circumstances.
@woodwage. Most defendants when convicted after a guilty verdict (34 of them!) are immediately remanded into custody. But since this was considered white collar crime the judge will typically allow the defendant to begin getting their affairs in order before sentencing. When I got convicted of a drug charge many years ago it seems to me that the sentencing was very soon after we pleaded no lo contenders because the pretrial discussions were becoming long and drawn out and I just wanted to get it over with. After sentencing I was told to turn myself in after three months to begin my sentence. I was given three months to get my affairs organized. The judge was shocked when I said I was ready to go right then and there. Judge said no, in three months time would be satisfactory. If it had been a violent offence, remand would have been immediately after the verdict.

It's a sham trial with a corrupt and partisan judge who gave bad instructions to a partisan jury. Trump will win on appeal easily, but the Democrats hope the felony verdict will sway voters away from Trump in the election and the appeal will be after the election. They never had any real evidence of an actual crime, but they wanted to take Trump off the campaign trail, waste his time, waste his money, keep his lawyers busy while they register illegals to vote and change election laws, sully his reputation, falsely cast him as a criminal, convince people to not vote for him, and try to take him off the ballots because they can't legitimately beat him in an election. They had to rig it, last time.

Yes, a person convicted of a felony can run for the office of President of the United States of America. The reason for this is that no part of the constitution prohibits a felon from contesting. The constitution spells out that all you have to do to become the president is to be 35 years old, a native-born American, be a resident of America.
