I was there in May 2019 with my younger daughter on the way home after sorting out some of my late father's stuff. The Jewel had recently opened but there were still parts that were closed. The queue for Shake Shack was absolutely ridiculously long. Thank goodness we didn't plan on eating there! If you had a layover of more than about 5 hours they used to offer free city tours save you having to spend all your time in the airport buildings - we did that once a few years beforehand. One dayhopefully I'll have the time and money to visit Singapore again, and see all of the Jewel.
I believe they still do offer free city tours, but I couldn’t pass up the novelty of spending the 12 hours in the best airport in the world!

N no Singapore isnt pricey if u come from Usa. 1 sgd = 0.75 usd. Our median salary is about the same s usa so usa n singapore prices cant b like thailand or philiphines right? 😅
Ubud wasn’t bad! The humidity is just a lot to get used to when you’re from a dry place like we are. True on the pricing - similar to the US

Yes, it is a Singapore thing. We didn't put a garden in the city, we put the city in a garden.

Terminal 2 is currently smaller and quieter as it is still undergoing renovation. It’s working about at half capacity at the moment with half the shops and gates operating, hence the quiet vibes. It should fully reopen in Oct 2023.
That makes sense! I did see a lot of construction going on and read that they’re still investing a lot in the airport

In progress now is Terminal 5 which should be ready around 2030. This will be larger than Terminals 1, 2 and 3 combined. More to come. Come back then!

We have done it again (to Thailand) and flew biz to Singapore and coach to Thailand.
How do you get to the Jewel from transit? What do i need to do?
