He just had no reality in his life. Ever. Even love was not a reality with scream fans wanting to rip him apart. But he found out the hard way ,no fault of his own. He should have been taught reality as a child growing up. He died of a broken heart at 30 years old. Poor Andy. He was so beautiful.
John Davidson did mess up!! Don't like the way he interviewed Andy bringing up stuff That wasn't necessary. Also introducing Victoria Principle was a terrible idea! She really kept Andy upset!

We do seem to have double standards in society. People belittle Andy Gibb for his substance abuse issues (which is a shame) due to mental health and pressure from family, yet others like Keith Richards and Mick Jagger from Rolling Stones, Beatles Members, Freddie Mercury, Jim Morrison all got involved with hard core drugs and some are practically praised for it. It's sad. :(
While I disagree with the majority of your statement meaning Andy Gibb ridiculed while the others praised. Andy Gibb had a squeaky clean image and he was a teen idol. With Mick, Keith and the others, their music was not easy listening, but mostly hard rock so their fan base was more like their "hard" image.

I'm just pointing out that THERE IS A DOUBLE STANDARD in our society. Most comments I've seen have commented on Andy and his cocaine abuse, and criticized him for it, while others like the Beatles, Jim Morrison, Flvis, Freddie Mercury who all got into some sort of hardcore drugs and they end up getting get a free pass for it. Smells like hypocrisy to me. 😒
Freddie can do no wrong in todays society and I’m a Queen fan (albeit a new one) the man was a drug user and promiscuous, but he’s treated like a saint. He did not deserve to die so young from such a horrific illness but he was no angel. Andy was a sweet, innocent young man that fell into a black hole and got eaten up by Hollywood and all its sinister ways.
