Really looking forward to Eye fight. That will be a great challenge. Eye a tough, tough, brawler who has been in with the champ, beaten Chookagian no 3, Araujo no 6, (Meisha Tate and Maia losses), who were title contenders. Must not be taken lightly. Manon my female fighter for 2022, but it will get harder now. Lot of skills, aggression, great TD defense, offensive attacks, however, there is still work to be done in some departments and I have no doubt those will be worked on. This must be the year of the "BEAST".

Manon Fiorot is violence personified. The only time I have seen her show tears and softness was when she was talking about her deceased father. In the EFC TV series titled THE FIGHTER she put her first opponent in the hospital. Manon went on to win her season of THE FIGHTER and then the EFC Flyweight title.

There’s a whole crop of girls coming up right now that are 18-22 years old and are next level. These girls have grown up watching Valentina and Amanda and are about to show the MMA world a whole new set of skills that we haven’t seen from the women yet. The next 5 years is gonna be fun to watch.

This the one fighter that worries me for Valentina
She is stunning
We are getting closer and closer to fulfilling the criteria to warrant a ‘Marie Ruumet- Spotlight’. I’ve been captivated by Marie and her journey since she had just turned 17 years old and decided to leave her home of Estonia all by herself to live and train in Thailand full time and take her potential as a Muay Thai protégé to the elite level she was not going to achieve in Estonia. Watching her CZcams videos over the years, I have seen an eager but fierce young snow leopard blossom into a dominant and imposing Muay Thai practitioner and she’s still just 21 years old now.
It’s like getting to see the very beginning of Valentina’s MMA start as a Muay Thai fighter, before she began learning the other disciplines that make up modern MMA. She has done some Boxing matches but has yet to start training BJJ, but now that she’s signed with ONE Championship promotion it’s just a matter of time til she starts learning the art of the submission haha.
Marie Ruumet checks every box that confirms she will be an MMA superstar within 5-7 years. She’s absolutely a beautiful girl, inside and out. She’s got that Hollywood “it” factor the minute you watch her vlogs or her fights. She speaks perfect English, which isn’t a necessity by any means, but an unwritten bonus that connects the fighter with their fan base that doesn’t seem distant like speaking through an interpreter often does. This also attracts more companies and brands that will pay a lot of endorsement money to athletes that are able to speak fluent English. And last but not least, she is an extremely dedicated and motivated machine in the gym, never dismissing any of the grueling workouts her coaches have her do. Never acting entitled or like a prima donna when she’s facing adversity or a rough go. She’s the real deal. She’s so good for only being 21, but she’s been through so much and has trained , learned and fought so many times she probably has a fighter IQ of a prime 28-30 year old MMA fighter already. I’m pretty sure everyone has seen her on CZcams already and I’m not making any real revelations here lol, but if you’re not familiar with the name, search for Marie Ruumet, and get ready to see Valentina 2.0, the taller, soon to be stronger version coming soon, to a BJJ gym near you. 😂
Im actually a huge fan of hers too and actually did a video on her last year but didn’t release it as i wasn’t entirely happy with it. Its on the cards within the next couple of months👍🏽
@@MMAWATCH oh, awesome my man. Yeah, I looked through your catalog because I knew you had to be familiar with her because of all the other ‘non mainstream’ fighters you have covered. I just figured she hadn’t made the cut yet as she’s primarily the one discipline so far and thought we’d have to wait until she actually started mixing her martial arts lol. But I knew she had to be on your radar. I love to see girls like her; who actually respect the art, continuously strive to get better, and can be an absolute beast in the ring/cage, yet she’s every bit a lady outside the ring/cage. Such a rare find in this profession. 👍🏻
No need to put out a video if it’s not up to your standards, she’s only 21 so you’ll find a whole lot of great footage in the next year or two as she gains in popularity. And I agree, i prefer fighters grounded in a particular traditional style (or styles) as ive studied a few in the past myself so know what a challenge that can be.
