The point ear are reference of the concept art in UMK3 Ninja by john tobias and the same way in the comic Blood and thunder the ninjas have that, personally i like it and i love the skins, can't wait for the Reptile UMK3

The pointy ears are in reference to the very first Mortal Kombat game’s comic in which was a part of the instruction manual. Scorpion and Sub-Zero both had the points.
The “pointy ears” have been around since Tobias’s original MK art.

I love the pointy ears, it's adds a certain flair and distinction from the other Era costumes, plus it's faithful to the concept art back in the day

The classic skins i missed the days of playing mk1 2 3 ultimate mk3 mk4 deception armeggedon shaolin monks sub zero mythologies special forces mk vs dc mk9 mkx mk11 all this MK content got me all nostalgic 🥊

With the pointy mask I think they tried to mix the MK3 with the MK4 Ninja costumes. Because in MK4 that's when they were introduced if I'm not mistaken.

the stitching on the cowl (the kitty ears looking part) makes me think more MK4 ninjas actually
Tip: F4 on Smoke breaks armor. Just a lil tip when you're against someone who likes to wakeup armor

That last Peacemaker was absolute garbage. All he knew how to do was zone and spam. As you learned his bullshit and started adapting, he didn’t know what else to do. People, just because you found ways to win doesn’t mean you’re a skilled player. An 8 year old could play like that Peacemaker.
From that title alone I started getting flashbacks. Smoke is so fragging hard to fight against. And I’m talking from experience.
