No but, She meant that she didn't know how to react, how to respond because she knew she didn't want to lose the friendship and she didn't want to hurt her either, that's why she had to think about how to respond. Anyway, in case she DOES feel something, I agree, it's a bit risky.

I'm so glad that the friend was accepting, and even after being told it was a prank, she wasn't like "Thank god, I would've felt weirded out" or something else that would've been discriminatory. I'm really glad she said if it was real, she wouldn't be upset or angry, she would just not want them to lose their friendship. And also the extremely kind words she said about how love is love and you can't control it! Both of them are really good people!
I mean if she felt weird then that's normal too. It's like having a guy friend confess to you. It's still awkward if you turn them down, whether they're a woman or man
In my honest opinion, I just see this as someone who doesn't like the other. Sure, sexuality does play a part in who one likes, but people emphasize that "THIS person is a homosexual, and THIS person is a heterosexual"
Seeing it in a simplified angle, it is just a girl who rejects another girl because she only sees her as a friend. It is normal not to have feelings for another person because, well, you just aren't into them.

At first I was a bit annoyed by this at the moment the prank was revealed, but I recognize that I am accustomed to a different environment/society. (Individual perspectives are important to recognize, folks!) So I waited to see how the video would conclude, and I was pleased that it wasn’t meant to merely mock the shock of such situations. Instead, they addressed the reality of it.
I appreciated that the friend discussed how feelings are completely natural and sometimes require extra time to process completely - which is very healthy! We should all do this regularly. (Decrease reactionary behavior!!)
I’m still not a fan of pranks that manipulate such feelings. However, I think the fact that it can be made into a prank reveals a deeper issue in our ability to comfortably confront these matters.
Same! Coming out is such a serious and also potentially dangerous thing to do, so seeing people make pranks out of it really annoys me, but I can tell this video was meant for different purposes

I think the het world needs to see an honest interaction like this and see both their reflections at the end of the video as true and sincere. Unfortunately when it’s a skit and all scripted out it’s not going to feel real. And it’s also hard to find an actual girl in love to agree to be filmed like that
The way the friend actually said "Could you give me some time to think abt it?". She didn't went to an straight "no" or any rude rejection. Also her conclusion at the end of the video, her thoughts--- dude, she's so precious. 😭
She’s a really sweet friend because she was willing to handle her friends feelings for her so delicately and respectfully. Even if it’s a prank.,. It shows her true heart. What a good person.

This happened to me over a decade ago...my best friend and I were inseparable but she suddenly started pulling away, spending less time with me to hang out with other friends, and skipping school to smoke weed. I started wondering what I had done wrong, but she said it was nothing. One day while we were hanging out in her room, our other friends all got up and left the room so it was just the two of us. I thought she was going to talk to me about her smoking because she knew I wasn't very fond of it, but instead, she told me that she loved me. It was in past tense, and the reason she spent less time with me was to get over loving me. I was shocked, as I never felt those feelings toward her, or sensed them from her. I couldn't help feeling a bit lied to, because we would frequently say "I love you" to each other, and I meant it as an older sister loving a younger sister. I wondered how many times she said it to me with the feeling of knowing I couldn't love her in that way, and I felt guilty and upset with myself for maybe hurting her without even knowing, and not being able to do anything about it. I told her I felt awkward and didn't understand why she hid it from me, especially because everyone else who left the room knew. I didn't know what to do because she was still spending less and less time with me. I didn't want to force her to hang out with me more now that she told me, because it didn't matter to me as long as she wasn't hurt, but I also didn't want to lose our friendship. I just let her ask me to hang out when she wanted to so it wouldn't seem like I was forcing us together. We still tried to hang out with each other over the following few years, but our life paths strayed from each other and now we just follow each other's socials. No bad feelings, just naturally growing apart from each other as we got older. She's very happy now though, and I'm happy for her and proud of her.

I experienced something similar. Except I was the one who tried to get away from her. I didn't even know I was gay then. I just didn't like how I felt towards her. I don't know what I felt but I sure didn't like it. (that's internalized homophobia for ya) .The truth was I hated that I loved her. I treated her badly. Very badly. I sometimes can't sleep not knowing how much I've scarred her exactly.

I'm so thankful for her for being so kind. She asked when it happened to understand the situation. She didn't weird out or said anything bad. She just took some time for herself. That's better than saying just no at first. I'm grateful that she understands how hard it is for someone to confess their feelings.

I've been watching prank videos on CZcams for about 10 years, probably longer, def in 1% of consumers. This /might/ be the best-acted "dating prank" I have ever seen. Really. You guys pushed the bounds with this one and it backfired magnificently.

I have mixed feelings about these sort of "pranks". What if the friend says yes to the one who started everything? What if she's rude and hurtful? I guess we all agree internet has already passed this phase of "homosexual" pranks, as if it's somewhat funny to tell you're in love with a same sex friend when it's indeed really painful to actual gay people just not to lose the friendship, but also being seen as a human being by the other person.

this video got recommended to me exactly today, valentine's day. while watching this, i also remembered last year in february 13th, i was making a digital card to send to a past crush of mine who is the same gender as me, but i held back because i lacked courage to send it. and now that i met another close friend, i thought that i was only infatuated with that friend and just thought to myself, "no, this feelings won't linger any longer". it's indefinite but somehow it's something like this. as someone who's had an experience like this, it got into me what she felt when her friend confessed even it's only a prank
i really wonder how the lgtbq+ community feels about these kinds of jokes and videos where someone pretends to be lgtbq+...it just doesn't seem right. seems very thoughtless and oblivious. if this was some kind of social experiment where the goal was to bring awareness to what the lgtbq+ community faces in SK or just in general, there were a lot better ways to do it. That doesn't involve pretending to be in the place of something you haven't experienced. next time, they should really involve the lgtbq+ community to see what they actually should be doing if they want to help. the lgtbq+ hardships is not something you should profit off, whether intentional or not.

i agree, it always feels a bit weird, it's like "cosplaying" being a member of an opressed group. i feel like making something a "prank" kind of shows that it's not a desired state of being (like "haha pranked you luckily im not gay and in love with you!!") and further alienates the people it's supposed to represent by not giving them a platform
so I'm not gonna bash this video bc Korea is still very conservative so I think any positive depictions/videos made in support of lgbt+ people are useful, but there are better ways to do it. :)

this actually happened to me in highschool freshman year. my best friend confessed her feelings for me over the phone, but I'm straight and I didn't have any feelings for her. it all worked out well, and it wasn't at all awkward afterwards (at least for me). we're still friends to this day.

Honestly I did this. I ended up feeling so repulsed by myself but I couldn’t keep it in that I liked my friend knowing she was straight. I know it makes her uncomfortable and I know it makes her feel overwhelmed and I know she’s grateful that someone like me cares about her so much. But she also never wanted to make me hate myself for it and she hates that my romantic feelings for her gave me so much depression and disgust with myself. She said she wanted to be that person for me and tried to think it through and imagine kissing me but she just couldn’t. Im grateful that she doesn’t hate me and wants me to treasure my love. I’ve liked her for many years now and only last year before she went to Stockton, that I felt nervous that she could meet a boy and finally mustered up the courage to be just a liiiiiittle more direct. Even though she knew I liked her like since 2017, she apparently thought it was a simple friend crush. Not like an “I want to spend the rest of my life with you” and so only fall 2021 did she finally learn that I actually like legitimately loved her with all my heart. I was like *facepalm we’ve had so many discussions too during 2020 and even before that about me having feelings. I never directly stated it but I thought she understood!
