This was day 2 of our Spiti Ride 2022, which was from Narkanda to Kalpa, about 6 hours of drive. We had to visit a local market but we just kept riding. As a result got lost again. This time all 4 of us. haha.
But it was not as bad as day 1. I enjoyed day 2.
The key take away from this experience are the following:
- Invest in a comm device. Make sure to connect it to other riders before your ride.
- Mounting a GPS devices is an absolute must!
- The timsun tyres performed extremely well on tarmac.
- Bell is not an ideal helmet for vlogging as too much wind noise comes in and is impossible to remove.
- A good mesh riding jacket is must! I had a riding jacket, but that was better suited for winter riding, so I was getting cooked from the inside!
- Lastly, the touring seat is good!

a problem i see with your cornering is that you hit the inside apex too early and then you run wide and have to scrub speed to stay in lane.

@Srinivas Ganesh may I also suggest that you plan your braking and downshifting as you approach a corner, and by the time you are getting out of it you will be accelerating already and Yudhvir won't be able to catch you.
What’s better , way 2 speed kit or outex kit ?
I was told that outex kit will provide a better consistency in terms of the adhesive. Way2Speed can be uneven at some places which can cause some imbalance. However the ones using way2speed have no complaints either.
My verdict, go with outex. 🫱🏽🫲🏾 (nothing agains way2speed though.)

What riding jacket do you use? Just the two vents overall?
I know it sucks. It;s by cramster. Not even mine, borrowed it from a friend a long time ago when I had the classic 350.

what about your burnish yellow gloves?why din you use those in this ride? i have been using them and they are fairly warm with extra liners plus they are safer than scoyocos anyday.
I knowwwww just a day before the ride, I misplaced them and couldn’t remember where I kept them. And when I got back, my mom told me she had kept it in my almirahs. 😭😂

Already ordered the missing part from the existing GPS mount. I have the best mount, I just acted cheap and didn't order a vibration damper. Now just awaiting the delivery. This will complete the setup! Thanks Rakshat!!!!
@@SrinivasGanesh don’t put iPhone even with a dampener, either buy a cheap android phone just for gps or put a tank bag/cover which has a transparent screen on it and use iPhone for gps

Yep they were, I don't know why that was happening. I felt uncomfortable since I didn't have gloves in my right hand. And only right hand was getting fatigued.
you're way too critical on yourself ("I'm too slow in turns") just comparing yourself to others buddy. I am 46 and been riding years and years and trust me, your style is your own style. There is nothing right or wrong about things! Fudge people who act as if their way is the way and think they've got it all figured out!
