Achensee Paragliding - From Rofan down to Maurach

After a short gondola ride, you reach the Rofan with the paraglider launch right below the Gschöllkopf. Following the ski slopes you get out in front of the mountains where thermals develop by late morning along the South facing slopes. The views of the lake are stunning. The landing zone is right in the middle of Maurach, just a short walk away from the gondola.

Der Start vom Rofan hatte auch seine Tücken. Man fliegt entlang der Skipiste mit Bäumen links und rechts, was für meinen Anfängergeschmack, bei ein paar Starts zu heftigen Turbulenzen geführt hatte. Das Landefeld ist riesig und sehr leicht anzufliegen, selbst bei stärkerem Wind am Nachmittag. Viel Spass und einen sicheren Flug am Achensee!
