Nails, hair, hips, heels is my rehab song! I’ve had a stroke and have to learn how to walk again. This song has the perfect beat and really cheers me up. Can’t do it in heels (yet). Whenever I have to cross the street I sing this song in my mind and I feel confident I can make it to the other side before I get run over.

@@DovahGirlie Unfortunately no. I’m doing a lot of mental rehab at the moment, by staying in the present moment en keeping my attention away from the problem. Which is harder for me than working out on an elliptical or doing fysical exercises, because I just want this all to be over with.

My friend's mom went through almost the exact same thing for years, but she had to relearn speech patterns, as well as physical activities, which I can only imagine makes it difficult to keep a straight mind. The last time I saw her, she could go up and down stairs with only some reliance on a rail and could speak more fully. I genuinely hope that you recover just as well, my friend. Just keep your head high - you'll get there! :)
