I attended a fabric dying retreat in 2019 - in Morocco! It was great and I just wanted to let you know that the reason the white thread didn't take the dye on the yellow blouse is because it was polyester thread. Cotton thread will dye along with the fabric. Lovely makes and I just subscribed to your podcast :-)

This is the first time I have seen your channel on CZcams. You are a pleasure to watch. Your self doubt is totally unnecessary but I understand it. As a creative making quilts and enjoying all the needle crafts, switching to clothing only recently I too have plenty of doubt. Your red blouse would look lovely with buttons and loops. Your dye was probably made for natural materials, that's why, if the threads were polyester, that they didn't take the dye. I learned that from experience after attempting to dye a jean jacket and the threads didn't take dye. (The result was even better since it ended up like a dusty purple with yellow threads)

Just a tip, if you're fabric is cotton, you should use cotton thread. To reduce any puckering or other issues. Sounds like you've used polyester thread, which doesn't dye... Also I make p.j's from old duvets...tons of fabric ❤️🙏😇

Hey Juliet, with stains on white garments maybe try lemon juice. I had a top that got stained recently, household bleach didn’t work neither did Vanish (powder or stain removal bar). But, for some reason, when I used lemon juice it came out completely.
