I had a 1978 with a Weisco 1100 big bore kit, racing cams, Mikuni 29mm smoothbore flat slides. A Yoshi 4 into1 header, aluminum extended swing arm, individual air pods, roller chain, regeared and different primary and secondary sprockets. DC1 racing ignition, and many other mods. 0-60 on two seconds, and the quarter in 9. I would put a link to it on CZcams, but they will flag it and ban me from posting! CZcams is such a crying ars babies these days!

Sorry mate! unfortunately have been held up with something else. I thought I was going to do as a series but didn't go as plan. I restored most of parts and only frame and few parts left. I will try to give some update on this project soon.

Maybe you can add a video of how it came out. It would be nice to see what happened.

You didnt show the fun part, getting the carbs out. Even more fun getting back in. Hope it get restored and not cut up in any way. I just did my 78gs1000e carbs. Bike is back up and running after 6 years, runs great. I did a gear change, i can pull it in 5th at 120mph. I also have a 77-400, 3 78 - 750s plus a parts bike, 2 78 1000e models, 2 79 1000e model and a parts bike. They are fun bikes.

Did you take the engine out and how pairs of hands did it take ?

You don't need an extra hands, I just put the bike a side, unbolt and lift the frame out of it.

Well, just use a multimeter and make sure you get the power on your switch and make sure it has a good ground. That's the first step I guess. Good luck mate!
