Setting up Nissan El Grand 09 model to make and receive calls with the bluetooth hands free and also how to set it up to play music from your phone via bluetooth as well.
Great video. Through trial and error I found out that if I connected my iPhone Xr for both phone and audio it kept disconnecting every few minutes. However, if I only connected for audio and ignore the phone setup entirely, it works well. Phone doesn’t go through the car stereo of course, but for me playing music is the main think I need.

@@neemaprosper6152 Hmmm thats strange, have you tried removing the profile you orginally created in the car menu and started the process from the beginning? Maybe the car needs to 'handshake' with the phone and is not in pairing mode only connection mode when your trying to find your car again from your phone.

No worries glad I could help! I havent delved into making calls using the handsfree other than getting my partner to select the number in my phone and then calling. In my video I showed how to setup the phone call profile which allows you to receive calls through the bluetooth system. But unfortunately thats about as advanced as I get sorry. I believe that u can setup an address book or speed dial a few numbers but the other option would be to try using voice commands to ur phone

hey mitch, i was able to connect bluetooth and but cannot stream music and there is no bluetooth option iin audio settings, it is only showing 7 options instead of 8. this is for a nissan dualis 2007. Does it mean it doesnt support streaming music ?
Hi how do we delete a number or unpair a number . I want to connect my new phone but it keeps trying to connect my old one and now for some reason my new one won't pair. So I wanted to delete both phones and start again. Hope you can help. Your video is so awesome

I've never had an ipod so not sure, I'm assuming it would if its bluetooth capable. The phone I was using in this video was a Nexus 6P so an android phone and didn't have any issues.

Simon Frye I've never come across that issue sorry. I would've thought that would be something to do with the handset settings not the car. There could be a setting to auto reject calls but I'm not aware of it sorry

@@chikoson much appreciated thanku- mine keeps connecting to my old ph which my son now uses instead of my new ph I have added. My Bluetooth keeps dropping out when it does connect so I’m thinking this could be the issue. Maybe deleting all the other devices and networks might help if I new how😀
Hi, I’ve followed your video (very helpful cheers!) unfortunately the Bluetooth doesn’t stay connected, I’m unsure why, can you help, very frustrating cheers
Once you created the profile it will automatically connect to the selected profile. So if you have 2 phones and you want to switch to the other phone you would have to manually select the other profile on both music and audio calls for the phone to operate on both those channels through the car system. You won't need to create a new profile each time, the car stores 6 profiles I think it is. If the profile is already active from the last time you were in the car all you have to do is have bluetooth on in your phone and it will automatically connect.
Just wanted to say thank you, I have now paired my phone to my Nissan Elgrand Highway star, just one more question would you know why it automatically self disconnects while playing music through my phone, then I have to connect it again then 5mins later is disconnects again & so & so 😩

Thank you Mitch, unfortunately the screen kee0s turning off if I don't press any buttons for a few seconds: I have managed to save my number and name a few times and it appears on my phone as a nearby device however (when it tries to pair) it says the password is insufficient and completely rejects it. I have checked the password and retried a few times-nothing has happend :(

Not sure why that would be. Possibly your unit did not come with bluetooth, unable to assist sorry.

I think it would be the same, I only have android devices sorry. It shouldn't make a different as it's only searching for bluetooth I would assume.

Ah I think somewhere in the menu there is an option to turn bluetooth on and off, but I can't remember where in the menu it is
