  • Willie Nelson's classic On the Road Again is really fun to play on the ukulele. You'll need these chords: C, E, Dm, F, G. Try it out with simple downstrokes, or add a strumming pattern. (I show both variations in this video.) Make Willie proud y'all. Cheers!

Fun fact: back when I lived in TX I sang backup for a band that OPENED for Willie Nelson in Dallas one time! Amazing experience. Didn't get to meet him, but definitely got to hear him- he's one in a million. Let me know if there are any other Willie songs you want to learn!

@@UkuleleWineTime Willie is the only other man that has ever kissed my wife since I have been married to her for 30 years. After seeing him preform outside of Austin a few years ago, we were at the stage after his show to get his autograph and my wife handed him a rose and he knelt down and kissed her on the cheek. 😊 He is a very kind man.
I didn’t realize you are from Texas. I grew up in Wimberley and now live in Rockport.
Thank you for all your videos. I hope you get the chance to play some more Willie.

A fun song to play especially for someone who often seems to be traveling. I'm still working on that E chord but that will eventually come right, I hope. A big thank you, Kathryn.

Love it! You can also substitute E7 for E, makes it easier (and I actually like the sound of the E7 better!)

Thank you, glad you enjoyed it! Haha yes - you can always just do one downstroke per chord, or you can do 4 downstrokes per chord. Build your strong foundation of rhythm, starting simple and then you'll be able to add to it later on!
