Payton Pritchard is awesome! Whether he's a starting guard or coming from the bench, he is gifted and enormously talented! I'm so glad we signed him! 🙏😀😊🎆
In for his size he's an amazing rebounder and defender as well! It has been proven he can score on anybody! 😊
dare i say shades of jalen brunson in PP. or to make it closer to home, shades of IT.
I'll also point out, PP is the only celtics who's played all celtics games this season and is the only one who still gave 100% effort in games where most of the other celtics looked too disinterested.
I totally agree. I'd choose PP over Derrick White, if we could only keep one. Pritchard is amazing. If this team wins the title, they could possibly be considered even better than the 1986 Celtics, who I have always said were the greatest team of all time. The only true black eye for this team, is that GD home loss to the nauseating Lakers, who were without LeBarf James and Anthony Davis.
@@reneep9972 I'd keep white over pp but i'd keep pp over jrue. i'd say we've had multiple bad losses this season: lakers, charlotte, bucks (2x), clippers, knicks, cleveland, hawks (2x). at least half of our losses typically fall into 3 categories of bad losses:
1. going up big then letting a worse team missing their best player come back.
2. giving no effort to start and getting blown out.
3. taking a bad team lightly and playing lackadaisical.
its harder to find "good" losses and we just lost due to the refs (indy) or just getting beat/out-executed/out-talented (denver).
I can’t say how much I love this take.
Have you seen the video BBALLBREAKOWN released yesterday about Brunson changing the game and the ways he thinks Brunson is going to impact a new generation of guard play?
I love that you pointed out PP, because while there are obviously tons of better guards in the league right now, he might be the most obvious player in the league who has a similar sort of package and game play. He uses his strength, elite handle, change of direction, bball IQ, and excellent shot mechanics/nice wrist flick, to get to his spots and create easy shots for himself whenever he wants.
This may sound crazy. But the last month or so it has LiTERALlY seemed as if PP has an easier time getting to his preferred shots than Tatum does. I know that’s not entirely the truth because Tarum can do the rise up 3 over antone whenever he wants, BuT I mean come on, that’s not a great shot. But Pp uses all of those Brunson style tools to be able to create EASY rise up 12 footers, little bump two foot layups, and shit his freaking size up quick handle game to create his pull up 3 is honest to God one of the most fluid and lethal and nasty packages I’ve seen from a backup guard in my 20 years watching the leagueb
Payton Pritchard 🔥🔥🔥
Other than Jaylen PP one of our top toughest guys out there
He’s zippy great film breakdown
Plays like Jerry Sichting of the 86 Celtics.
PAYTON A.K.A. SNAPPER THE TEAM MASCOT AND KATO'S BOY!!!
Logan is still taller than Puck.
He went from a catch and shoot guy to knowing how to create his own shots and make the right play and a good defender for a small guard
He was always a playmaker it was his role that increased. He out Oregon on his back with his playmaking now he just has a chance to show it
If anyone has watched the Celtics this year you might know Sam Hauser is developing sorta the same thing in his game, pump fakes and taking more midrange shots.
