I think Wei Ying starts to understand WHY Lan Zhan wanted to take him back to Gusu before. He’s starting to understand that Lan Zhan did not want to take him to the Cloud Recesses to punish him, but to keep him safe-to hide him from the world that would want to hurt him.
Lan Zhan did not understand how to love, the only love he saw was with his mother, who was confined for her own safety. His brother, who also did not understand, and uncle, who had been strict and stone-hearted with his way of love. So how else can he show his love for Wei Ying than to hide him away the way his father did for his mother?
But now, Lan Zhan understands that Wei Ying is not his mother. And he, himself, is not his father. He can do things differently from the way he was brought up. You can see it in the way he trains the juniors, how he is strict yet kind and lets them explore the world the way he was unable to at their age. You can see it i. The way he spoils Wei Ying, and the way he treats him ever since his return.

One cannot understand the deep passion of Lan Zhan for Wei Ying unless one reads the book. But the way the series shows it, their love becomes something so holy that nothing mundane touches it.

I really want a special episode where Lan Qiren apologize to Lan Xichen and Lan Wangji for robbing their childhood with their mother. This is so saddening for the children to go through, not not let them be with their supposed mother just bcuz you wrongly deem her as bad person
Love Wanji's look very relaxed and how he is serving Wei Ying instead of himself like a doting husband. Wei Ying coming in and probably wanting to say I love you but might said gross . That's why he brings up Xichen instead 🙄
This drama was so beautifully done. From the actors and actresses to the directors and crew. Costumes, make up. And the music is a brilliant masterpiece. This one of my favorite dramas. Pulled at my heart strings and ugly cry. Lol but also tremendous joy and happiness. Love this wonderful job. God bless. Thank you for the your hard work for this masterpiece.
