For books I am unsure if I'm just in a wrong mental state for (like I'm in a horror mood and not romance) I'll do a soft dnf, so I'll dnf it for a little bit then come back when I'm in the mood for that book later. It doesn't shorten the TBR but it has prevented book slumps before. I'm glad you're enjoying what you're reading!!

That's a good idea! Sometimes you can be reading a book and really not enjoying it, put it down and then when you pick it back up again a couple weeks later if could be the best book you've ever read🤷🏻‍♀️
