  • Marching troops, drawn in from the 6th Infantry Battalion and the 2nd Artillery Regiment recreate the takeover of Custume Barracks by Commandant General Sèan MacEoin, supported by the Army Band. The troops followed the original route taken by General MacEoin’s troops; beginning at the railway station and ending at Dùn Mac house.

      Most armies prohibit marching on a bridge so marching troops are ordered to break step and walk normally over to avoid damaging the bridge.
