At some point when a scammer refunds you too much money and says they will lose their job, attempt to get their manager on the line. Instead of being nice and asking them to let them keep their job or whatever, demand them to fire them, telling them that a huge mistake like that shouldn't happen and that you're refusing to refund the money. See if the manager takes the side of the employee and tries to get you to refund or if he will pretend to fire him
