Chandigarh city is full of lush green gardens, delicious eateries and boasts of a beautifully planned cityscape and is often referred to as "The City Beautiful," because of its impeccable urban planning that offers a unique blend of Urban living with a glimpse of North Indian culture. A very buzzing and lively area here is sector 17, which is the retail hub of Chandigarh and literally in the heart of the city. Traditional clothes, Phulkari dupattas, souvenirs, jewellery and many other stores are set here. A must visit here is Phulkari by the Punjab Government offering vibrant embroidered dupattas and suit pieces. This place also has one of the 14 outlets of Sindhi Sweets where I savoured the “Ultimate Chandigarh Breakfast” Chole Bhature! The rich chole masala with piping hot bhaturas just made my day! This sector also has one of the oldest outlets of Indian Coffee House established in 1957. Another legendary place created 40-50 years ago is the Zakir Hussain Rose Garden, a place known for its stunning floral displays. Unfortunately, it was undergoing renovation, and the roses were not in bloom during my visit. However, this minor disappointment was quickly forgotten as I stumbled upon the delicious Kulchas at Brothers - their chur chur kulcha. Honestly, my food journey felt incomplete without Aloo Parathas and Paneer Tikka, but that craving was instantly satisfied at my hotel, #Taj Chandigarh. They have an Unlimited Buffet spread for breakfast where I could enjoy Chole, Bread roll, Parathas and so much more! Its prime location and their warm hospitality made this trip very comfortable and enjoyable.

Thank-you for encouraging our local government by buying from Punjab government store and it has such a lovely collection fortunately even I was there in 1998 I’ve mentioned this in Udaipur video what to do when someone is waiting for visas after marriage you travel if you can afford I visited that garden which is made of all broken glasses and other stuff.

Chandigarh is indeed a beautiful city. Especially in the evening till midnight it has it's own charm to wander and explore. Taj is a good property with excellent food. Always tempting to experience Elite class.
