Lmao the problem is mainly consistency. Im d2 in 2s and play 1s a lot now plat 1 in 1s. U can see my streams @BAQWAS CLIPS ROCKET LEAGUE. I easily outplay them just because i know what to exactly do. This guy is bad overall because whats the matter of having mechs if u canât use them in real game, Iâm pretty mechanical and i use them in the most riskiest plays too
Also, he overflips a lot, 9/10 flips he does put him in a bad spot

Napkins usually takes the piss to lower ranked but imo he was very harsh to this one. Clearly he had decent mechanics and wasn't playing like a headless chicken. SSL players admitted even he wasn't half bad as they thought he would. Well played my fellow diamond player. With a few alterations he could be champ.

I'm hard stuck in D1-D2 for a year now and this makes me so mad because at least 80% of diamonds think they are kings because they can "sometimes" do a flip reset and score. But they overcommit and steal the ball when a team mate is in possession ...
I know I do a lot of mistakes too, but this stuff makes the ranking up a lot harder ..
Skill issue
Like I said, I make a lot of mistakes too. But I am tired of players bumping their own mates all the time or stealing the ball, cutting me, etc.
Not saying I deserve to be Champ or higher, it's just frustrating to have team mates like that 90% of the time.

@@phoenixsun7140 yeah tm8s do make a lot of mistakes however, you have to learn to avoid them and adapt/ play around your tm8s. My advice: become the carry... literally. Just get good at everythig and carry urself through diamond.

Iâm usually gc1/gc2 and I recently made a challenge where I canât aerial and I had to rely completely on ground game and I was able to get to champ 1 in 2s and 3s very quickly. Itâs always funny to hear people say they play âsmartâ

reminds me of the time where I (currently plat 2) tried to teach my little brother (doesnt have an acc) how to play using splitscreen and rumble... didnt quite work out so I got fed up and went tryhard mode, and after about 5 goals he was upset and wanted me to play without boost and rumble items. still got 50 more goals and defended almost everything he put near the goal

im ssl on keyboard & mouse and when i made a brand new account and i played on controller literally without air roll (im so bad mechanically on controller) i managed to reach champ 3 (i duo queued with my friend who did the same exept his normal rank was gc3)
The diamond wasn't bad tbh he definitely went from having ball chasing teammates to SSL ones đ

im 1600 and played against some retired pros in a 2v2 tournament and got absolutely smacked. itâs not as crazy with SSLs but itâs insane to see how fast they are and how deliberate every single touch they make is. everything they do has a reason behind it

RL ranks can be so fucked. I was bordering plat 3/diamond 1 and after my placement matches this new season I am like 4-5 games away from C1 for the first time ever. Like i felt i carried earlier but this just confirms it. It can be really hard to move up the ranks when you are not really insane at the game

probably comes from playing training or casual. I usually rank up 1 rank per season. 3 seasons ago i was like plat 1-2 and now im diamond 3

I think a big difference is boost management. that first ssl game he had zero boost most of the time. the speed of ssls is insane, even in just getting boost lol

What he means by most mechanical, is the best at flashy mechanics in training. He never goes in the air to defend passes (you know basic aerial mechanics). I'm the same rank and am amazed how he's even there.

One thing I actually learned from this is that boost is hard to come by in higher lobbies. I would have liked to see him grab big boosts on kickoffs instead of cheating up, because I saw him at 0 often throughout gameplay
nah big boost at kickoff doesnt make a huge difference. you need to collect small pads in every second of the game when its possible.
@@KalemonRL makes a huge difference when you're slower than your ssl opponents
@@grantbrown6502 like 100 boost is wasted in like 10-15 seconds. That isnt much of an impact to the game compared to small pads!
@@KalemonRL I don't think you're watching the same video. He was immediately out of the game because the top players starved for boost and he is sitting there like a duck. The big boost to start with would be to his advantage.
LOL.. thinking getting big boosts on kickoffs would help him have boost throughout the game. How little you must know. And one player cheating up, especially in 3s, is very common in higher lobbies. Almost to the point of being a requirement.
It's reaction times and mindful rotations that help keep your boost high when you need it and keeping yourself in the play.

Please keep being a game sense player. Every time I lose a game in diamond lobbies is because team8s canât rotate/ ball chase. Simple game knowledge goes way further then mechanics. For diamond at least.

From my experience when playing with someone lower rated like that. Its just better to let them go for balls the know they go for even if they cut me off and confidently,or foolishly be outta position. Then for them to sit back and let balls sail over there heads because their not use to how stong a offense can be from a higher rated player...

I'm D3, and I would outplay this kid 10 ways to sunday. He's trying to be WAY too fancy. If anyone notices, a LOT of what the SSL's are doing are simply basics, but done consistently. No one is air dribbling and flip resetting.
