    When dry land farmers tell you they are so busy in the summer after spraying don’t believe them. This farmer goes and runs combines for other people till his crops are ready.

    Definitely takes a well-coordinated crew to keep equipment of this scale moving efficiently. Far cry from what things were 50-60 yrs ago!!!

    That’s what farming looks like when it’s time to plant every tractor doing some thing plus seed spray fertilizer. Logistics can be a problem. Loved the video

    When that banjo music started, it would be funny if the farmer had his tractor on auto-steer and he was playing the banjo in the tractor.

    Nice sequence of operations like application of fertilizers, pre-emergence herbicides in the prepared field, working into the soil through cultivators, clod crushing, levelling and finally seeding/ planting the designated crops. It displays the various applications of Agricultural Engineering for conducting large scale commercial farming.

    Awsome content as usual the Fendt two tracks caught my attention right away. Watching them grow into a very popular tractor. I personally ran the 1050 on a grain cart was very impressed with it fir power and ability of using joy stick for everything. Far exceeded our 4 wheel drive John deere in handling cart better transmission shifting

    The first fertilizer that should be put on fields is cowmanuer and plant the corn with man made fertilizer on the planter!!! This will make the corn have better yield!!

    Hi Mike, Great video with big size equipment
    I am noticing that there are very few covercrops (like clover) grown in the fields you film. Is that not efficient for the farmers in terms of timing or does it cost more then synthetic fertilizer? Seems strange to leave a field fully barren for 4-6 months of the year.

    • @farmhandmike
      @farmhandmike  Před rokem +1

      There is a few guys doing cover crops but its tough to get a cover crop planted when your busy harvesting and by the time most guys are done harvesting the weather has turned and a cover crop wouldn't have time to grow much if at all. Clover would be great but it would have to be flown on the field before harvest to even have a chance of growing.
