I just got the stuff and built this last night. Figured I would give it a try at locals tonight.

@@phantomsygo I went 2-1-1…got the draw for time. I like the branded build better, but want to test play it some more before I put it back how it was.
Coatl and hugin are two different layers of protections for cards like tcobo or fountain
Where can I find the bgm?
I have a buddy who plays this at locals and he always does reasonably well. He loves runick and it seems to be his favourite runick variant to play atm
This is 100% my favorite way to play both engines lol.
I'd recommend getting rid of the ishizu cards, runick dispelling and smithing storm and adding 2 edge imp chains, 1 patchwork and 1 poly. Edge Imp Chain is dark so can be used as fusion material for Lubellion, it's also a great card to discard for Hugin.
I want to try unchained chimera and lab chimera personally
Can’t listen to this at work (headphones died:/), but can you explain the cornfield at 1 rationale? I understand not having 3, but I’ve needed 2 in grave so many times
its to keep it at 40 id assume, ive got a profile of my version of the deck on my channel
I think it was to avoid drawing into too much chimera and not enough runick
Played Furhire, Sprite, Runick on masterduel. Might not translate 1to1 with tcg but I've found it a fun deck

I play versago the destroyer in this deck for when I need a dark to send off branded fusion. I then Summon out winda. Winda is insane with the runick cards. Usually she can't be outed
You would need to be dumping a shaddoll monster. Versago can't be used as a substitute for a "shaddoll" monster. Versago can only be used as a fusion sub if the monster is mentioned by name (fallen of albaz, dark magician, etc.)
@@sDkrumpedon ah my bad, shaddoll Falco could be used instead then. At the end phase it would summon itself and then instead of summoning chimera you could summon winda with the Falco and derfomet.

What do you think about play versago and dragoon in this deck?
I like dragoon but honestly i’d probably play the dark magician to have monster removal and burn damage for a win condition without the battle phase
@@phantomsygo anda how do you deal with Omni negate monsters or monsters that cannot be Target like dragoon for example?
@@omargabrielmayorgasolorzan6037 You either play until they play into talents and then steal or you can play the new TY-PHON as its a non-targeting bounce that they cant negate

I added Nightmare Magician to the deck for that exact reason. Sometimes you just want a dark monster to shuffle FAb back without summoning and banishing and creating space for interruptions
Also, using tip to search a Runick card when you already have 5 Runick cards in hand isn't how I would play it. I'd have used destruction to summon, pitched a flashing fire, and used tip as follow up if Hugin gets ashed
Also, don't forget we play Guardian chimera. So we can draw up to 2 on opps turn after getting Hugin and fountain.

Yea i dont think its that great since both engines want the normal sunmon
@@phantomsygo plunders don't need to normal summon when they are used as fusion materials and sent to the GY, and the new Berfomet can foolish a fiend monster + it can be accessed by ship shape ships shipping
"It'd be nice to play one dark monster to shuffle back the Albaz right away"... so a Tearlament. Probably Scheiren so it isn't dead in your hand if you draw the "garnet"
Fur Hire Runick was my baby but I've played basically every Spright Runick variant before. I'm not sure how I feel about the engine going into this format but it seems solid.
When I was at regionals past weekend, everyone playing Runick Chimera was not playing the branded package, it was Rudnick/Chimera cards & then some non-engine, this free'd up their ED a lot for other jank as far as I could see. You just play more of the not-so great Runick cards, make of that what you will.
Do you know what other cards they played on their ED? I'm guessing more runick fusions?
Replace Albaz package with Super poly, and then free up 4 spots for super poly targets and/or S:P and Ty-phon.
Edge imp instead of shufflers works wonders, just feels like it sucks without running hand traps going second.
After match
When you opened double Chimera Fusion, Albaz, Slumber, and talents, you could've gone into Hugin, search field spell, then normal summon Albaz to use its effect and make Mirrorjade. Stuff to consider
Can't use monsters you control as fusion material with albaz

Before I watch the video: the archetypes don’t seem to synergize at all so I’m skeptical it’s all that good
After watching the video, it seems like Branded Chimera with extra steps
@@RoyaltonDrummer922 They do and they don't. They're both advantage generating engines, so they help to fuel each other over the course of a duel.
