- Last 2 days before my USMLE Step 1, Here’s what I did:
1. At this point the only thing needed to be done is revise and review. No new topics. I focused on reviewing NBME content and Free 120.
2. Self care 💆♂️ to relax. Not studying all the time these last days help. I did my usual relax routine and just sprinkled in content review in between rather than doing content review all day with minimal breaks.
3. Doing my weak topic list. Throughout my NBME’s I was constantly updating a ‘weak topic list’ based on my incorrects from NBME. One by one I would tackle and review these concepts as these were HY concepts I struggled with.
4. Setting my sleep schedule. I had to wake up around 5am for test day which is 2-3hrs before my usual wake up time for work. 2 days before I slept very little so I can get sleep early the next day and set my schedule. This was a hit and miss tbh 😜 I was able to get 4-5hrs of sleep before exam. On usual days I need 7-8hrs of sleep, yes!
5. Setting up test day: I prepared what I had to take on test day including food items and their packaging. I prepared what I would wear and got a fresh haircut because wearing comfortable, good looking clothes I like along with a fresh haircut is a confidence booster. I know, very very psychological but even if it helps 1% then why not?
Step 1 went way better than my Free 120 which I also took at the centre. Taking a practice exam at the centre definitely helped!

Your NBME incorrects and your weak topics!
Hello I've exam on 30th nov and i feel i am not at at confident.. I don't actually feel like how I'm preparing is really good. I don't feel focused 😔 also I'm in extended eligibility period. I am just helpless. Should I cancel it rather than seeing myself getting an email that i failed??? 😢😢😢😢😢😢
If your NBME scores are good then go ahead and take the exam!
Alright. I'll try to do that
@@valencypateliya7516 hey how'd the exam go?
