Mayor Karen Bass said that "The immediate attention is to violent crime" not if riders are paying the fare. I guarantee you that all those involved in "Violent Crimes" did not pay the fare. You cannot separate the two.
I got beat up several times by people in my own age and younger people on Metro this happened in LA it's a terrible experience they need to put a stop on this violence on all Metro Buses
14:51 -- I would like to see each and everyone of these people ride these metro public transportation systems by themselves with no security detail following them to test how truly safe the vehicles actually are. Every place were people have been assaulted, stabbed, or murdered is where these city officials need to ride...not just one ride but for an entire day. If any of these board members decline to do so they should immediately be fired with no chance of re-election period. Stop making excuses and lead by example!
Thanks for the free ride today! Please fix this safety concern & start prioritizing LA citizens who are contributing to it being a safe, clean environment. Plain clothes police should be in every car & bus. Yes, to increased presence, but they need to be preemptive & not just act after the fact. Yes, to better cell service. Stop allowing our buses & trains to be misused as mobile hotels.
I hope they get a hold of the situation, all of the mental ill people had to go into a place where they get removed, that is not true is getting worse you can not even drive to Alvarado McArthur sorry that they want to sugar coated the crimes, just look at the country of Salvador he clean out all the crime in less than one year we can do much better I hope we come back to normal norm soon

I think they should put metal detectors as soon as you walk into the bus I think they put metal detectors

I have not paid Metro bus/rail fare for over 3 years, I simply board at the rear of the bus. I sometimes pee in a bottle while riding the bus.
