    THANK YOU . THANK YOU!!! . I watched this video the night before my interview and was able to prepare better. My interview was awesome! I got in on my first try. It’s great to see persons of color in anesthesia. You improved my confidence as a minority applicant and gave GREAT advice. You’re doing awesome work. ♥️

      @@theCRNADrip it was pretty bad lol. I think they only gave the benefit of doubt because of what I looked like on paper. And towards the end I got better. But it was even a chemistry question I knew the answer to but I just told them I didn't know 🤦🏾‍♀️. Imma look on your site about the mock interview and set that up. I'm determined to get into CRNA school so imma do whatever it takes.

    So glad I found your channel! I've seen other videos related to the interviews and many have talked about group interviews. Since you didn't really touch up on it, I wanted to ask what can I do to feel calm and focused with that many eyes on me? I have very bad anxiety and I feel like the more eyes I see, the more on edge I'm going to be. It's more than a pair of eyes, more than one mind, more than one perspective. I can see how it can be more beneficial this way because if one disliked you, but the other 2-3 did, it can weigh the interview better. At the same time, I feel like my heart will jump out of my body lol I'm not the sweating type when nervous, but I am 100% a figgity person.

      @ramirofernandez3986 Před 3 lety +1

      @@theCRNADrip yes. I have been having friends interview me and focusing on both clinical and personal questions. It is pretty much guaranteed they'll ask me why I want to be a crna and why they should pick me. So I have been focusing on that and clinical questions pertaining to my patient population. It will be zoom style this year, but it doesn't take away from the fact that it will be 6 professors and 2 students surrounding me virtually. Like you, my hand movement can get very distracting so I've been focusing on toning it down. If it's meant to be I will get in 😀

    • @theCRNADrip
      @theCRNADrip  Před 3 lety +1

      shakeira brazzell congrats!! And welcome to the jungle lol. If by critical care certification you mean the CCRN, then you need to be on a critical care (ICU, CCU). ACLS Would be first and foremost. And then you can do PALS later. You don’t have to work with kids to get it. You may just have to pay out of pocket for it

    Do they have group interviews or one-on-one or does it depend on the school?

    • @theCRNADrip
      @theCRNADrip  Před 4 lety +1

      DEFINTELY depends on the school... group panel interviews can be intimidating BUT that’s a greater chance for the tides to sway in your favor, if one person is on the fence and the other three people sway them them more than likely you’re good, vs one person making all the choices

  • @hnduil

    • @theCRNADrip
      @theCRNADrip  Před 4 lety +2

      ScooperPDoodle it depends on the school and the application pool that you apply in... those numbers in general should be adequate enough to get you an interview in most places, where you apply and WHEN you apply

      @@theCRNADrip How? I'm only asking because I also have also attend CRNA diversity mentorship with Lena Gould several times as well here in Philadelphia and Nj where she is from.. I shadow in multiple cases and states. However one of the CRNA school Directors ask for potential SRNA to draw a diagram of organs of the ICU they work in the most.. for example(Neuro, CTICU, Cardiac) Circle of Willis,.. Heart and every artery/vein etc. More in depth than Medical School interview.. I'm sure you seen her if you attended the Diversity Sim lab.. I was just wondering how do you think they get around drilling people. Thanks♥️
