Thank you Tia! This was the first CZcams Video I was able to follow and make my star quilt with. It wasn’t as perfect as yours but it’s my first one. I had problems with understanding what 9 1/2 and 6 7/8s meant but I just measured it both ways. Anyway thank you so much for your awesome video. I sincerely appreciated it. I love my first starblanket.

Hello. I have a plan for for making a Christmas tree skirt with this pattern. But I will be using one more strip in my strip sets. What I need to know is how to figure or what size my squares need to be. Can you help me with this? I want to use all squares so it will turn out more of an octagon not a square. I'm hoping I can just use all the bigger squares. Thanks for any help you can give me, Beverly
Beverly Pugh I would love to help you but I'm not really sure what shape you are trying to make. This version is basicly a slanted 9 patch. Do you want to make a slanted 16 patch?
I guess if you call it that.I want the Lone Star pattern. but I want to use 4 strips per set to make it a little bigger then the one you did in this video. So yes I guess it would be 16 block
Jacklyn Trierweiler make 4 of these blocks to make a 60 inch wallhanging. if you want to make one lonestar block into a 60 inch block you would have to do math. I don't know off the top of my head as this pattern is only 30 inches. if you have access to eq7 I bet you could do it easy.
