I just really wish you guys would give us 2,3 days later hair (at least) 'cuse I think thats where "reality is" You said your side by sides always seem the same... I think its becuse your hair is long and healthy and 1st day hair is the "tammest" day with any good hair product, thus the reason of wanting to see 2nd and, at least, 3erd day hair.
I agree! A lot of products can get similar results on day 1 but it's how it lasts through the week that is the real test. I always try to show at least day 2 if not later throughout the week when I'm doing product or styling technique reviews
Thanks for another battle👍🏽 I think the gel gave you a little more volume, but the cream and gel side gave a little more definition! Personally I try everything but my favourite is Curl Keeper gel and Curl Cream. ❤

I have to take off my rings too when I style my hair 😂 I'm more of a medium hold type of girl. I have a love/hate relationship with strong hold gels lol. I definitely love them during the summer, since where I live there is a lot of humidity during the summer months. I haven't used a light hold gel in suchhhh a long time. Since I started my hair journey three years ago. Maybe it's time I revisit them.

@@user-uz2gc8rl6y i can try! humidity is when the air has lots of moisture & moisture breaks a gel/mousse cast; a cast is the crunch you feel on your hair & it helps keep your curls from becoming frizzy, so when your air is humid, go for a (strong(er)) gel or mousse that'll leave a nice cast :) (stay away from glycerin when its not humid tho!) hope that helped!
In the beginning of my curly hair journey, I would ONLY use cream stylers because moisture was my type priority, then I discovered cream gels and that changed EVERYTHING. Cream gels are the best EVER! Then I slowly began trying gels on all hold levels with a leave-in conditioner, again for the moisture, and now my hair is at a healthier state (despite the fact that I highlight my blonde curls) now where I can now use gels, regardless of the hold level, on it’s own. Some of those ultra hold gels still give me bomb day 1 results that gives me both crazy good hold & a good amount of softness.
As another non-DIY girl, I appreciate that you find products that we can just use rather than us needing to make something ourselves! Also - loving the color coordination!
i’m loving how easy this switch it up challenge is considering i was doing it before hand! i always switch between using gel with my cream stylers or just leaving the gel out and only using creams

I think we would see a bigger difference with day 2 or 3 curls then day 1. If I use a cream and a gel then I notice my hair doesn’t need a refresh whereas if I were to just use a gel. Also that last credit scene 😂
I honestly think both sides look amazing!! I'm a cream styler type of gal. I find that using just a gel dries my curls horribly :( But adhering to the "switching it up" challenge, I will give cocktailing a try. Maybe some leave-in + a gel? Or a cream styler + a gel? Hmmm... I will have to try it all! I'm lucky to have very long hair but super thin so I have to make sure not to weigh it down.
Ahhhh this is the gel review I’ve been waiting for! I’m a strong hold gel kinda girl. I’ve been hesitant buying the Rizos curls gel since it’s a light hold but like I mean you think it’s great, Julissa made it, like I think I’m gonna have to buy this gel now lol!
I think the side with just the gel is a little, like every so slightly, more defined. Both sides look amazing😍 I flip flop between a gel and cream styler, but mainly gel in the summer and creams in the winter. But I love to mix and match different products, so sometimes both lol
I would own all of their products but international shipping is craaazy. I would say both sides looked pretty identical but the side with just gel looked like it had a touch more volume at the root, but not sure if that’s just because of how your bangs naturally sit. I’m definitely a strong hold gel girl but these results were bomb!

I like a strong hold as well, but I tend to cocktail my products. Usually I use a cream styler and afterwards I use a strong hold gel. Recently , I have been using light hold gels, which are not bad either although I still prefer strong hold gel for it helps with having hold that lasts longer and it being easier and less time consuming to refresh. I have been switching it up by mixing mousse and a cream styler together. It has been a good mix of products for me.

I don’t know if the light falling on the curls is different, but I really like the side where you just used the gel. It seems to have a little more definition, especially closer to the scalp. I’m a strong hold gel girl because I’m a lazy curly (I was lazy in my straight hair days too) and prefer not having to refresh often during the week, but I’m down to try this gel and I’m super drawn to the pretty pink packaging and TUBE!!!

I always use a cream and a gel (I also like a strong hold). But my hair ranges from 2C-3B so I feel like I have to use the cream to create bigger clumps. Otherwise it’s just stringy waves. But when I use a cream, I can get some solid ringlets. I like the strong hold because I feel like my curls drop faster with a light hold 😊
