This is such an amazing overlay! So many great details added that the work involved in transforming it every year must be incredible!
I really loved the singing busts having pumpkin heads, I thought it was really creative! And the Jack, Sally, and Oogie Boogie animatronics looked really awesome,too!
How they are able to put up all these decorations over one night really confuses me
IcebearTV They don't do it in one night. The haunted mansion is closed for about 2 weeks. But they do decorate the entire park in one night. But they have so many people that help that one night of hard work is plenty of time!

It's normally about 4 weeks or so, but they cut it down to almost half that time this year. They were even boasting about it in articles recently.

@@jakkibarman7925 exactly, it wouldnt be as chaotic if they didnt have an abundance of sounds. it harmonized so well. the minor versions of the christmas songs blend in with all the voices that it is very spooky

I love both Haunted Mansion and Nightmare Before Christmas theme. I'm anxious and excited to visit Disneyland again. Happy to see the new additions - Hattie the Hatbox Ghost and Oogie Boogie plus Lock, Shock, and Barrel at the mirrors; the reflections are funny 😂.

Disney is missing an amazing opportunity with the Haunted Mansion for Halloween. Seriously, it doesn't need a holiday overlay throughout September and October because it's perfect as is for the holiday season. If anything, this should be set up in November around the same time as Its a Small World.

I see what you’re saying but Halloween time starts in Sept ending in November I believe. It would just be a waste to take it down then put it back up. I mean for the rest of the year we have the og mansion
@@GreyM900 It's not a Halloween movie...it's a Christmas movie. It should go up ONLY for Christmas, like the rest of the Christmas decorations/overlays.

I LOVE the nightmares before Christmas overlay! I only went to Disney during my birthday in October, so I never knew this wasn’t the only version of the ride. I was disappointed when I went this May 😅
Come 2021 I'll be driving down there from Burbank to Anaheim opening day and singing my lungs out till the Haunted Mansion employees boot me off 😂

The original Haunted Mansion would've been perfectly fine for this time of year. The Nightmare Before Christmas took place after Halloween was completed. These decorations would've worked more for November/December.

I like to think that the characters broke into the haunted mansion and messed up everything.
I still want to see a behind the scenes on Disneyland preparing their holiday overlays they do every year.
i think nightmare before christmas should have an all year round ride, but not replace haunted mansion

@@stn1812 They made room for star wars because it would be unusual to save that space for one roller coaster. They already had star wars in planning for a while now and would never replace it for something like that. Now there isnt any room over there at Disneyland
@@stn1812 One thing that I don't understand, is that, Star Wars has it's OWN land, and yet Tommorow Land has Star Tours, and Hyperspace Mountain (with references of Star Wars). I don't get why they would waste the land, when they could've build something better. Star Wars is very popular among people, but using all that space is really unnecessary when you are just going to have one ride.
I was on this ride and yk how theres someone on the balcony dressed as jack? I yelled “H I” really loudly and they actually got scared! Ive been keepin that memory with me everrrr since!!
I got to go on this ride with my parents and many other theme park guests in November 2019 for my birthday weekend. The gingerbread 🏠was gorgeous, because it's been 50 years of the magic for The Haunted Mansion. Holidays rule! God, how I miss Disneyland on days we come home from vacation. 😭! 👍🏻 if you agree. PLEASE upload the WHOLE ride video when you get a chance.

We always went to Disneyland between Halloween and Christmas so I didn't get to go on the original until I was like 14. This is my absolute childhood.

Here is what I think should’ve been the stretching portraits for the nightmare before Christmas ride
The three quicksand men are lock shock and barrel
The tightrope walker should be sally and in the bottom of her is the worm jack puts under the Christmas tree
And for the old woman with a tombstone she is sitting on should be jack sitting on zero’s tombstone
And the last one for the man on dynamite should be oogie boogie sitting on sandy instead of a barrel and on sandy claws’ beard there should be a timer to explode

They almost did at one point but Florida residents did not want the overlay, according to a survey done a few years ago. Tokyo Disneyland does a NBC version and they have virtually the same house design as WDW so the decorations went there.
I’ve seen Nightmare Before Christmas and they have a song called This is Halloween.

I have a brilliant idea for this ride. At the start they should play a parody of This is Halloween but change Halloween to Christmas. It would still include one of my favorite Disney Songs and not ruin the theming.

I think they don't do the same thing in Disney World because it is more a World travel destination. But also Disneyland gets many to miss the opportunity to experience the original ride.
For example, when my parents visit me and I bring them to Disneyland, they never get to ride the Original Haunted Mansion because the only times they can visit me is during Hollyday vacations, so they always refer to the Haunted Mansion as the "Jack Skellington ride".

The MJ Channel I went yesterday and had been eyeing wait times on the app. It was super not busy days before then yesterday: busy!! Waits on app not accurate? How was it when you went? At one point it said space Mtn 10 minutes. So I went over to Space and the sign out front said 50 mins! I looked at the app which then before my eyes jumped to 50 mins.

Is there actually a way to quiet the hydraulics? Or is it just loud because of how this video is recorded? Because the popups are unusually loud.
Duckalie pop ups are always loud on this ride
Robert J i guess it’s because there’s a lot more on this overlay than usual, especially this year
Typically animatronic hydraulics are quite loud always, but you don’t hear them due to the ride soundtrack and sound effects. But the pop up ghosts are powered by air, so they are pushed up by a fast burst of air, which has to escape, causing the loud pop or hissing noise. Hopes this helps!

I went to Adventure and Disneyland in a 2-day span and this was the last ride I got on at the end of it all. Man did I go out with a bang. Legit one of the best rides I've ever been on, the detail, everything was beautiful. 10/10
