As a black woman, I would NEVER have let my man do what Will did.

@@javonswopes4101 I agree. I hope whatever rehab he’s checked himself in requires him to spend time away from that she-devil long enough so that he’s able to get her out of his system! He has blinders on, and can’t see what’s happening for what it is because he’s “too close to the trees to see the forest”, so to speak. She has a stronghold over him that needs to be broken before he can reclaim himself.

This was the best perspective I've heard yet, Well said Earthquake! A person that really loves you wouldn't have let you ruin a life achievement moment like that. I also agree with him about the fact that she should have spoken up for Will in the aftermath by expressing that even though his intentions were to defend her- this is not Will's character.

    • @kevindeklerk7401
      @kevindeklerk7401 Před 2 lety +105

He is speaking all truth. Jada didn't lean to check on Will if he was OK. She was more worried about her appearance. She didn't give any statement to defend or protect her husband. She destroyed his self worth and aired out her infidelity, justified it and broadcasted her marital problems to the public. Will and Jada think its all about them. Will wasn't defending his wife, he was defending his broken ego. On the other side was Chris Rock, who kept his composure and appreciated the significance of occasion and what it mean to a lot of people and their hard work. Wanda Sykes appreciated him coming to her and apologizing and he didn't want any action taken to ruin their evening that they had worked so hard for. Huge respect for Chris Rock. That's the man you want to be and I wish him all the success and happiness going forward.

She’s so up her own ass she can’t let him have his moment. She couldn’t just chuckle, have a laugh at herself, and if she really didn’t like it, go seem him after the show.

Instead of whispering in his ear or gently steering him away from Chris, she cheered Will's dysfunctional behavior...The tragedy is Will could lose everything and Jada could care less. “She is not a A-List actress… so how is that offensive to her…” -burnt to a crisp
    2. He called her “evil”. - the day after the slap I described to coworkers the situation feeling almost demonic. Will is on camera laughing w/ everybody else, jada gives him a look, instantly his demeanor changes, instantly. Those tears, when he accepted the award weren’t tears of joy and overcoming challenges, they were tears of confusion and frustration because he couldn’t fathom what just happened, but also, those tears represent his own inner acknowledgement that there is a constant battle in his mind and he doesn’t know what to do.

Denzel Washington and others could console this man at his lowest moment, but his WIFE (who he “defended” ) didn’t and can’t even use HER OWN PLATFORM, to defend him ? Sad. And women like Tiffany Haddish to immediately defend this behavior shows just how messed up we are as a race.

So any opportunity to put him in his place, she's "here for that". It was the biggest night of his career and she knew what he would do once she expressed displeasure with the joke and what that would do to his night. If she pulls stunts like this in public, she has to be Hell to live with.

I agree. Have any of y’all seen that video on CZcams where Jada has her phone out and starts filming Will in the kitchen in the morning asking him a personal question about their “relationship advisor” and how she helped to transform their marriage and Will is visibly annoyed and tells her not to film him without asking first and Jada just completely ignores him
and says what he’s saying is foolishness. Will then tries to reiterate that he’s not happy with her filming him and the articulate and confident Will becomes a stuttering man who looks down at the floor and then eventually manages to get a coherent sentence across. To which she laughs and turns the camera on herself and makes a sarcastic comment about how “clearly the relationship therapy worked” as if it’s all on Will not being flexible enough to answer personal questions on camera first thing in the morning without his consent. Sorry but I used to think she was a beautiful and elegant woman. Now she looks like a serpent with her shaved head and we know she’s a narcissistic abuser. August looked broken in that interview. Will looked broken too but all she cares about is ‘her needs and her healing’. She makes me sick.

Earthquake hit the nail on the head, this is how a man can act when he knows his wife does not love him. I feel sorry for Will as he is no more than a bully in this tiny moment in time, even though that may not be who he is in life. I hope Chris can take some pride in his reaction to it, sometimes the only way to beat a bully is let him shame himself by his own actions.
I see a little of myself in Wills' action and also in Chris' reaction, A little good and a little bad in myself. Perhaps there is something here I can take away and use to make myself a better person - lets hope.

When I heard the joke, I said “Yea, Jada would be great in G.I. Jane 2”. Until my daughter told me Chris was joking about her bald head. I said the movie wasn’t about a woman shaving her hair off. It was about a fierce military woman being accepted in a rigorous training program. Comparable to the US Navy Seal. She would be the first. If Jada was thinking she should have said, “Chris, I thank you for the compliment. I would do a phenomenal job as G.I. Jane. I would be the first Black Actress to play that role.”
Flip it. Turn that situation around.
She see she didn’t go on the stage to slap Chris. Will would have said, “Woman sit yourself down.” Then again maybe not.

I saw ZERO effort on Jada’s part to do that. He’s responsible for his own actions, but at the same time they say “behind every good man is a good woman”! Black women are so content with being disparaged thus these two female ninnies aren't stopping such talk about another woman, their sister. Moreover, Jada is not responsible for Will's actions. That's an abuser/abused perspective, i.e., you made me do it.

If you actually listen to his reaction (which was pure emotion after being slapped), he literally said "dude its' a GI Jane joke' that told me that the joke was in reference to her "look" which was that of the character from the movie.

Nothing here was FUNNY. Y’all weirdos need to stop and grow up. That’s how this happened in the first place

@@DauntlessDeonte5991 I think your missing the point Cobra Commander. Of course the "situation" within itself is not funny at all, and quite sad: however the fact that Mr. Earthquake's comedic talent is so great, he can explain a serious situation and still find a way to naturally make aspects of it funny is a nod to him. Not making light of the situation. I hope this explains how us "weirdos found humor in this dialogue.

I love Earthquakes shows and specials, His statement gave me a different way to look at this situation that I never thought about.

Earthquake is so sharp man. What a solid dude & break down.
It’s kinda interesting that Chris Rocks Hair documentary hasn’t been talked about very much tbh. Just wouldn’t figure it would as it’s so close to the topic at hand.
