I fully support the idea of involving experienced nationals in specific industries. Sometimes we look for the experts who qualify by unconscious bias of our leaders. ICAO has been urging retired professionals to form peer groups to consult industry steak holders. Kenyans should listen to Ronald very keenly, he was my best student.

The management is always the problem.
Yesterday KQ CEO claimed that Boeing 777s are an expensive plane that needs to be taken off KQ. Today, captain himself has said that the same plane is always full, meaning its making money for the company.
Myself being an aviation enthusiast, I know that most airlines are moving to the 777x the bigger brother to 777 for its full economy and larger carrying capacity as compared to Airbus A380.
When a ceo of our very own airline says something like that, it signals a problem in the management. poor management decisions are the reason KQ is perennial losser. Pilots are just implementers of decisions made by the board. The board is the problem. Change the management.
Captain has opened our eyes on what's going on and it's clear that you cannot just sack pilots. it's not even a option. Get the management out. it doesn't matter how long they have been incharge.

It's more costly to hire pilots, train them for the particular aircrafts, etc...
For the pilots to suggest some names those guys need to go, they need to go...
Someone like Tom Shivo is a bad omen in a company...
He was there before and part of laying off 443 staff illegally... and since then KQ has never made any profits.

Experts are brought and paid hefty salaries from where...
