This video celebrates my FIRST EVER fire using the COMBINED #bow #drill AND #fireroll methods
I did a bow drill attempt that was a dud
I then used this black dust in a fire roll and
BINGO ! I GOT FIRE (It was summer 2022)
Before this (with bow drill) I have made good embers but they didn't last long enough to get to flame
kit and info

base board - IVY wood
spindle - IVY wood
bearing block - plastic cap with metal liner
bow - curved wood 50 cm~
string - strong gardening string
tinder - cotton wool & news paper
fire roll - 2 3x2 timber blocks

The string will probably snap every so often so be ready with some backup string as this could happen at a key time (so minimise delays and be ready)
anyways, its a great feeling when you finally get this to work
DO NOT GIVE UP its all worth it when it works :o)
So, I was able to get the tiny ember into some tinder and get an actual flame YIPPEE 😄😄😄
