  • Play Surface Secrets // Logic Pro for iPad Tutorial
    If you want to play Logic Pro's hundreds of built in instrument sounds using your iPad, you’ll need to get to grips with its five available play surfaces; Keyboard, Drum Pads, Fretboard, Chord Strips and Guitar Strips.
    You might not know that each of these Play Surfaces has hidden options that can dramatically change how you use them.

    I'm pleased you decided to create a separate channel for this. I originally bought an ipad so I could use Garageband. Since logic came along I hardly use it.

    I’m tempted to reconsider LP on the iPad now that we’ve got somebody to show us the way. Used to LP on the desktop and GB on the iPad, I was a bit overwhelmed during my LP iPad trial.

      It’s a lot for sure, but quite intuitive once you get to grips with it. Happy to have you aboard!

    As always, great content. I am constantly surprised by the quality of Logic Pro for iPad. I have been an Ableton Live user for years, but find myself using my Logic Pro on my laptop more and integrating the two platforms together. Any videos you can do to expand on that topic, platform integration, would be welcome. Congratulations on the new channel and good luck.

    Is there way to do faster hi hat rolls on drum machine similar to beatmaker 3?

  • @ColinPowell_AMultitudeofOne

    Great overview of the play surfaces. I learned a couple of tips I wasn't aware of too! Thanks! 😄

    I like to meddle with the chord strips as well. Making them bluesy with sevens and elevens

    Thank you for making this very helpful video. I was not aware of the other string instrument play surface. Peace and blessings to you and your family.

    Great video mate, but just one question that is doing my head in. How do I make the “Articulation Option” show up?

  • @FMJay2000
    @FMJay2000 Před rokem +1

    I see we lost the feature of the auto play option which I used a lot for bass in garage band

  • @awesomeanimationandvideo6196

    Great video thanks. It would be great if we could have the note names show on the keys in the piano roll too.

    Thanks for the video Patrick. I note that you discovered the 'remove frets' feature since your video about how GB is better than LP in some respects. Well done for finding it, as it would never have occurred to me otherwise! Good luck with the new channel, already subscribed.

    Good morning Patrick, having been a viewer of your GarageBand videos since the Chanel’s inception and loved everyone so thanks, have just upgraded to logic and was wondering if you could possibly do a video on MPE controllers, I currently use the Artiphon instrument 1 but I’m sure they will all be similar, keep up the great work and speak soon, Drew

    Hi, is there a way to remove background noise? Do you have a video for it?

    Is there a way to rearrange the drum pads in a custom order rather than just gm name and chromatically? I’d like to setup a finger drumming arrangement

  • @GarryKnight
    @GarryKnight Před rokem +1

    No need to tap, hold, and drag the hamburger menu upwards to reveal all of the drum pads. Just tap it once and it will open. Tap it again and it will go back to the previous size, whatever that was.
