This planet has a lot of free power available to it especially wind and solar power. Off shore wind and on shore wind is a wasted free power source if not utilises to the maximum. We also know the higher one goes the more wind is available. Yes the wind turbines and solar panels cost a fair amount of money but no where near the price of other electricity plants and also the cost to maintain and build them. With fossil fuel plants and nuclear plants there is a massive environmental issue also and with the nuclear power we have a very environmentally dirty issue due to spent materials and radioactive leaks. The sooner man moves to 100% wind and solar to get our power the better, yet Electric cars are not the future as they are not only a dirty product but environmentally much worse than ICE vehicles. Even due to the massive increase in weight of vehicles will mean tyres will need replacing more often as well will road surfaces. Manufacturers of cars made cars go faster instead of making them travel further. If the manufacturers had concentrated on mpg rather than mph we might not be in the mess we are currently in with pollution.

I agree, the amount of unused or wasted naturally occurring renewable energy is insane, however its hard to turn a profit on an entity which is free and available for all humans!

@@earthscienceclassroom That's where our elected bodies come into the fold and the useful spending of taxes we all pay. Use them to benefit the people rather than big business entities. Just by ensuring that the wealthy pay a fair share would more than cover the costs involved. We use more electricity year on year and the cost to supply same keeps increasing astronomical amounts year on year.
