This is the first game I played on the 360 12 years ago, arguably the first real rpg I ever played as well. I have now played countless hundreds of games and It remains to this day my favourite and I will never get bored of playing this masterpiece
You deserve a medal for playing this as your first RPG - the random battles and some of the bosses are some of the most tedious and somewhat unbalanced and challenging I've ever encountered in RPGs.
I remember this game was marketed as an "old school j-rpg like the classic Final Fantasy games for the 360" but it was difficult as fuq. I died all the time and was send back to the menu screen 😅
It's because of the way levelling worked. It would give you levels fast and then stop so there was no need to grind, but also little opportunity to get overpowered until the end of the game
@@anonony9081 Technically not correct. The experience you earned was based on your characters' level vs the enemies'. Since there is no level scalling in this game (thank God), you would stop levelling up until you faced stronger foes. As for overpowered, a couple of hours in the Temple of Enlightenment and the right skills would make you pretty much invencible.
Aside from Jade Empire on the original Xbox this is like the only other rpg I played. It was solid too. I got Last remnant on ps4 and I still haven't played Blue Dragon.
They totally do! That’s the first thing I thought when they showed this intro for the first time, plus the way lain is going through the city is also very similar to how terra travels through the map to get to narshe! It’s awesome homage saying final fantasy

The true Final Fantasy 13 that the PS3 never got. Bought recently on the Xbox Series S. It goes constantly on sale if anyone is interested.

NobuoGOD Uematsu
1:44 Simply sublime!
Inspired by Ennio Morricone's film scores. Love it.
Nobuo Uematsu is a god ?
Yes !
This moment has given me tingles since 2008. Crazy.
This is the JRPG that made me Love JRPGs.
such a shame that this gem still stuck on the 360 'til this day
You can play it on xbox series x and s. I'm playing it again. Lol

That first big boss was extremely too powerful and it took me literal years to summon up the patience to beat it. Very very happy I did though.
Just got to day never finished this master piece
Kaime, one of the best (grand)fathers in gaming history.
Kaim Argonar! such a sad person. Imagine the number of departings he had to go through. So painful
This game is what ffxiii should be

последняя большая работа сакагути и уематсу, ушла эпоха
Still the best final fantasy game in 20 years
Wait what!!!
Yup
I just heard the main theme for Final Fantasy 6 and man these two sound so choose to it other
Did you mean "they sound so close to each other?"
the same guy did the music, Nobuo Uematsu. Lost Odyssey is very much a Final Fantasy successor lol

I think it's similar in structure and tone but i don't think it's a similar melody. Still sounds like it's own thing.
Yes i see some of terra's theme in this
The real Final Fantasy 13.
The true ff13
What it should have been.
