By 2040, one in four Danes will be 65 years or older. In order to keep a larger elderly population healthy and independent in the future, Denmark is moving towards more efficient elderly care, which empowers and supports senior citizens to stay healthy in their own home. This video illustrates how assisted living technology contributes to a more efficient elder care sector and empowers senior citizens.

It's called a nursing home or an assisted living facility in the US. Guess Denmark is finally catching on 60 something years later.

There's a couple places in the U.S. (Aegis Living in Seattle / San-Antonio, Treehouse Community Village in Massachusetts ), that are trying to create a more community type center where young and old help each other.
In the U.S., most of the healthcare costs goes towards prolonging a terminally ill patient by a year... it would be nice if some of that money would instead go to developing senior communities that people wouldn't dread. The culture around death itself needs to also change.
How expensive are the care facilities in Denmark compared to the Netherlands (ex. Hogeweyk Dementia Care Center in Amsterdam)... or Mexico (Chapala, Ajijic , Chipilo , San Miguel, San Miguel de Allende, Puerto Vallarta, Rosarito), or Thailand ( Chiang Mai care village, and the surrounding area , Baan Nor Lae, Martin Woodley)?

It's absolutely new most care homes don't have any care it's all about making money and filling them with drugs so they are easier to manage. Forcing unneeded vaccinations on them that deteriorate their health yet keep them alive for as long as possible so they can still make the money on them. How many care homes do you know that encourage the people to be more independent?
