Hermitcraft 9: Episode 11 - THE ENTITY MOVING Grian is back on hermitcraft and has made some "upgrades" to his "shop". Hermitcraft season 9 is getting intense. #minecraft #hermitcraft
Maybe to blend with the "Entity moves" theme, you could have some torn off trees scattered in the entity "path" and one could be laying close enough for you to climb the trunk and leaves like a ramp.
I’ll never get over the hermits saying things like “I’ve only got a little bit of diamonds” and then proceed to pull out one or two stacks of diamond ore blocks.
Grian: The Entity can't teleport to the shopping district because it's a rock! Also Grian: Instead, the Entity is going to suddenly grow six legs and crawl over to the shopping district!
ive noticed that all of the big shops grian builds always have the ability to move S6: s-AHA-ra (the items technically move around) S7: boat (its literally a boat, no explanation needed) S8: grain (the g-train, a shop on rails) S9: rock (it grew legs and ran away)
I like the idea of the entity "seeing" what blocks are popular and try to blend in by just randomly putting these objects on itself. much like me in high school.
hermit: "grian? where did the entity go?" grian: "i don't know" hermit: "well it didn't just grow legs and walk away" *cut to video of the entity doing exactly that*
Wow it took Doc and Xisuma so much time, potions and technical prowess to move their shulker box and Grian does it with a bit of rails and supervision from Cub lol
You know what would be a really neat addition to the Entity? A downscaled replica of the golden heart from Mumbo's base in season 7 hanging from the ceiling inside. It goes well with the theme of the Entity taking objects and assimilating them into itself, and is a nice nod to past seasons like the new legs are.
I love the idea of a continual story timeline in the builds. It just really gives them more personality and intrigue than if the Hermitcrafters didn’t dress up or act to fit their roles in the reset world.
The shulker will take damage from thorns, so if the shulker is going to be used, I think that Grian will need to add a dispenser with some potions of healing next to it.
He needs this. I tried moving it with thorns, and it was at least 3x worse than moving it without. I ended up requiring 3 shulker boxes of splash potions of healing to move it without it dying.
Having like coarse dirt or ruts in the ground where the entity "walked" across the landscape would be awesome, maybe some stones or pebbles that crumbled off when the entity moved and got up
Simple idea, but I feel like using a nether portal to go in and out would be so sick, and I feel like it would give another level of weirdness, disconnection, and other-worldliness to the interior
Grian last episode: “Diamond blocks should probably not count, because you can get them easily from shops.” Grian this episode: *Sells items for diamond ore*

Is the conduit that was the heart gone?? Also for the Entity I think you could do a mouth or maybe it lays eggs and inside the eggs there are the different products in a separate egg. I think it's going in a great direction though, love your work Grian!
As soon as Grian said he needed a shulker, I knew he'd either need cub, doc, or X. Those guys know the game better than anyone. Maybe also Tango, Mumbo or Impulse as well.
Grian deciding to move a Shulker: "It can't be that hard right?" Doc & Ximavoid, who are both technical experts and have created Shulker farms of insane scale: *Laughs in 45 minute long episode, in which they cut the boring stuff.*
I feel like it would look good if the copper sections of the legs on the Entity were actually the same block palette as the Entity itself. Then it would look like they were panels that hide the legs away when the Entity tucks its legs back in. Edit: Or even just be the same palette as the gear, so it all looks weathered and ancient.
When Grian showed us the nether portal beside The Entity, I honestly thought he was suggesting to enter via the nether, which would have been far simpler and no holes would be needed.
@@robl0xgamer258 I'd buy something called "The Entity" having a portal, being able to transcend time and space with dimensional travel. As for the compact part, he cand build the portal to be flush with the crimson wall.
This comment is months after this aired but I just wanted to share an idea I had while watching. I think a good alternative to the shulker would have been having the red nether vines (which are climbable) hanging down from a hole in the entity like guts spilling out. I just think it would fit the creepy vibe of the entity very well.
Grian: "Since I have some honeycombs to sell I'm gonna..." Me: "Have some bees pick the Entity up and fly it there?" Grian: "Give the entity 6 creepy crawly legs" Oh... EDIT: And then again: Grian: "As you can see I've made a lovely portal" Me: "So you're gonna put one in the Entity and make it accessible only via that portal?" Grian: "I'm gonna bring a Shulker from the end to have it levitate players into the Entity"
My suggestion for an entrance is to start selling some foods, thus giving you a reason to add a mouth to the entity. You could make people walk up its tongue.
so, you know how the entity mysteriously grabbed that water wheel and stuck it onto itself? well i think i know what the entity is doing. it clearly came from the rift, so it is definitely other worldly. i think that when the people studying the entity are asleep, cracks form on the entity and weird purplish smoke tentacles emerge, reaching out to nab random things to stick onto itself, and before the scientists wake up, the smoke tentacles retreat, and the cracks seal up
03:07 "Do I have a block that represents me? ... /puts up a block of TNT/ That seems about right" Yes. Yes it does. I'm glad we're on the same page here
For the Entity entrance: An opening on the underside with the red nether vines to climb up. It could be a wound with entrails coming out, or a mouth with feeding tentacles dangling.
I was about to comment the mouth idea too, it would make sense with it being hidden and it being a creepy crawly... speaking that (i think the story grian is trying to display) the entity crawled out of the rift and was not tamed but almost like a parasitic relationship grian feeds off the entity's profit.
Idea for Entity enterance: When the Entity raised itself it exposed a cavity on its underbelly with weeping vines dangling like drooping organs for access.
Maybe a cool idea to get into shops would be a nether portal to teleport you into the shop. Thus you would simply build the shop inside in the nether in a closed of region. Maybe with some clever landscaping features outside a window to make it believable.
I remember grian and pearl doing videos together back in the day, the build swap series. So cool to see them still collaborating on stuff. Whenever Grian gets stumped, he just calls Pearl over like, "I can't figure it out, Pearl, help!
Honestly i was thinking of course he would choose a TNT block, when he joined he liked to pull some little pranks here and there and wasn't afraid much on using TNT, like with the mansion, bam TNT to help dig out the lower bits
"The entity isn't real, it can't hurt you." The entity crawling slowly towards me in my nightmares. BTW you could just put some warped vines in the hole leading up to the entity
This kind of RP is my favourite, one that just naturally comes, like the mycelium resistance, like the diamond ore tower it’s entertaining everyone playing along and enjoying themselves and also us
I for sure don't skip the timelapse, it's the main reason why I got into Hermitcraft, I love seeing things getting built, it feels like those speedpaint videos, quite inspiring.
The time lapse are great! Without them it really makes all the hard work they are doing feel like cheating. I'm still working on projects they did 3 seasons ago! You don't want to have the audience underestimate the scale of the builds.
I was thinking about that too, but there is a big area between that other hermits are going to be working in, and either Grian would be taking up the whole path he made, or others would need to check with him any time they wanted to build over it, and then there would be a hodge podge path between the buildings. Also, with those legs, I wouldn't be surprised if it just jumped :-D
One idea for Entity's entrance: Since it looks like a heart from inside, make fleshy holes out on the top looking like Aorta/Arteries and that be the entrance? Another idea: just make a slime launcher + your float to get in from below, eh?
I had a similar idea with the entrance via an artery but instead of fleshy holes it could be exposed via a crack that was generated whilst it was learning to walk (as its only just sprouted legs)
Or maybe give it like a big tongue sticking out, like a proboscis on an insect. Maybe the interior could even have like bones or teeth just sorta outlining it.
I think it's possible to place water just where the levitation effect stops so hermits can float their way into the entity from there Like a weird cloaca.. in a heart, I guess
grian in the previous episode: "that doesnt count, you can TRAAAAADE for diamonds, all my ore was mined and i have not accepted people paying me in diamond ore" grian in this episode: "hey, i had a great idea!"
Hey Grian, I do really like the shulker idea, but for the “lazier” hermits I think you should create a scorpion tail as the entrance. I think that it would create a much creepier aesthetic to the Entity.
The only thing is that the scorpion tail has to have a reason for existing on the entity. Tree is there for logs, gear is there for copper, 6 legs for honey. Scorpion tail wouldn't make sense alone... Maybe it can be justified with poison potions? Or, he could sell glow berries and have a vine into the organs, or the nether vines and have it's organ-y vine hanging down
To go along with the "abduction" and "insides" theme, why not make a mouth on the underside of the entity. So as when a hermit floats, they enter the mouth. And maybe add a swirly tongue for more creepy effects.
What about entity develops some roots and then starts to absorb energy from the forest And when it have enough energy it will start to spread the nether environment Making entity a creature of nether wanting to take over the over world
Every Hermit: You know what looks really cool? Cyan. You know what else? Dark Grey. Also, just move the shulker up a few blocks, put a button down with a trap door, button opens door, shulker shoots you, you levitate far enough now. no dropping before lifting, and you're good
watching Doc doing the crazy stuff like moving shulkers makes it look so easy, but watching Grian do it is a good reminder at just how hard the technical side of Minecraft really is. Grain's no slouch Minecraft and he really struggled with this where Doc makes it look only annoying in a worst case scenario.
Here we see, the wild rock. Standing majestically on its pirch. The wild rock, also known as the entity, is known to pick up pieces of debris, and people's houses, and attach them to itself.
I do have a possible idea for the entrance, perhaps the entity could have a broken sword blade wedged into it, the side of the blade acting as a ramp up to the wound that leads inside the actual entity. You could also say it's absorbed some of the sword and start selling weaponry inside.
Suggestion: you could use redstone to detect when a player is in the hole to be beamed up(tripwire hooks) and activate a beacon to make it look like the player is actually being beamed up from a UFO
Maybe to blend with the "Entity moves" theme, you could have some torn off trees scattered in the entity "path" and one could be laying close enough for you to climb the trunk and leaves like a ramp.

And after afew minutes he goes on to blow up scars tower lmao
Honestly i was thinking of course he would choose a TNT block, when he joined he liked to pull some little pranks here and there and wasn't afraid much on using TNT, like with the mansion, bam TNT to help dig out the lower bits

When grian was looking at the tree i could here bdubs say "the tree of whimsy"
This kind of RP is my favourite, one that just naturally comes, like the mycelium resistance, like the diamond ore tower it’s entertaining everyone playing along and enjoying themselves and also us
I for sure don't skip the timelapse, it's the main reason why I got into Hermitcraft, I love seeing things getting built, it feels like those speedpaint videos, quite inspiring.
The time lapse are great! Without them it really makes all the hard work they are doing feel like cheating. I'm still working on projects they did 3 seasons ago! You don't want to have the audience underestimate the scale of the builds.
true i always like the music too lol
Yes, also, each hermit has a slightly different and unique approach to their time-lapses at some point.
You should've left The Entity's footprints leading up to it's new location! It would've been a nice touch and added some story to it.
I was thinking about that too, but there is a big area between that other hermits are going to be working in, and either Grian would be taking up the whole path he made, or others would need to check with him any time they wanted to build over it, and then there would be a hodge podge path between the buildings. Also, with those legs, I wouldn't be surprised if it just jumped :-D
suggestion for the entity entrance you could make it look like a cracked geode then add little fleshy "crystals" inside of it
You and mumbo have amazing Timelapse’s I can’t believe people actually skip the best parts
One idea for Entity's entrance: Since it looks like a heart from inside, make fleshy holes out on the top looking like Aorta/Arteries and that be the entrance?
Another idea: just make a slime launcher + your float to get in from below, eh?
Why did I misread that as "Emily"? Love your idea though, that could actually look really cool
I think it's possible to place water just where the levitation effect stops so hermits can float their way into the entity from there
Like a weird cloaca.. in a heart, I guess
@@yagoceballos3920 I had the same idea, but more like it's covered by a rocky shell that expanded and cracked in several places.
grian in the previous episode: "that doesnt count, you can TRAAAAADE for diamonds, all my ore was mined and i have not accepted people paying me in diamond ore"
grian in this episode: "hey, i had a great idea!"
Well remembered
The entity gives me luggage vibes from disc world. The whole supposed sentience and sprouting legs is a very cool idea they both share.
Grian to Pearl: “ I need legs!”
Pearl: “uh… okay?”
Maybe you could like add some course dirt and stuff around where the entity used to be to make the land look more worn down from it sitting there! 😁
Yeessssss omg that's such a good idea
Great idea
Idea for the entrance: make the entity a mouth, and you start selling quartz (for the teeth) so you enter inside the mouth itself
I was also thinkin that

'The Entity' is definitely one of my favorite builds of yours Grian!
I love the idea that then entity is this old mysterious rock, that has been alive for centrys and probably should be feared, and now it's a shop
Hey Grian,
I do really like the shulker idea, but for the “lazier” hermits I think you should create a scorpion tail as the entrance.
Or, he could sell glow berries and have a vine into the organs, or the nether vines and have it's organ-y vine hanging down
@Don't click profile photo alright, I won't. Thanks for the heads up
What about a hole in it's side with some of the red innards hanging out?
Grain: "I know some of you skip the timelapse"
Me: *Gasps
If he starts selling stalactites, he can make an open mouth with brown teeth to fly through. XD
To go along with the "abduction" and "insides" theme, why not make a mouth on the underside of the entity. So as when a hermit floats, they enter the mouth. And maybe add a swirly tongue for more creepy effects.
thats actually a good idea i like it
I was thinking the same thing!!!
@@MrBread-wf4rc me 3!
A murder rock
What about entity develops some roots and then starts to absorb energy from the forest
And when it have enough energy it will start to spread the nether environment
Making entity a creature of nether wanting to take over the over world
Every Hermit: You know what looks really cool? Cyan. You know what else? Dark Grey.
Also, just move the shulker up a few blocks, put a button down with a trap door, button opens door, shulker shoots you, you levitate far enough now. no dropping before lifting, and you're good
time lapses are honestly so satisfying to watch. so much work done in 10 seconds and it goes up so fast.
watching Doc doing the crazy stuff like moving shulkers makes it look so easy, but watching Grian do it is a good reminder at just how hard the technical side of Minecraft really is.

Now say this as a documentary
Ooo
I love how out of all the blocks in Minecraft Grian chose TNT to represent him!
I like the way that after grian killed that one shulker, the snow golem just turned to look at him like ‘what have you done?’
I do have a possible idea for the entrance, perhaps the entity could have a broken sword blade wedged into it, the side of the blade acting as a ramp up to the wound that leads inside the actual entity. You could also say it's absorbed some of the sword and start selling weaponry inside.
Maybe tridents?
agreed good idea
Could just be iron
Suggestion: you could use redstone to detect when a player is in the hole to be beamed up(tripwire hooks) and activate a beacon to make it look like the player is actually being beamed up from a UFO
remember
grain is not good at redstone
This
YES!
Beacon wouldnt work since theres a block on top
@@miraculousking he could set up a piston to retract the block tho
