Those were best days of my life watching them perform on stage in clubs or watching them on videos singing their latest hits on cable/TV. LATIN FREESTYLE at it's best ! the 80's was the best decade for Music without a doubt. even though we had the end of Disco, here in New York we had R&B dance music, the beginning of Hip Hop, which was unique. At the start you had Breakers and Poppers going at it on the dance floors, I was fortunate to witness all that, it was amazing! then around 1986 Dance music came back with the birth of a new radio station Hot 103.5 WHTZ that played FREESTYLE. This era of music will last forever in my mind!

But when i listen to some of my favorite tracks today, i start crying these joyous nostalgic tears. I begin to feel so grateful, thankful & proud that i was a teenager running around NYC when Freestyle music was at its peak. There was this sense of unity, respect & compassion among people in the Freestyle community bcuz this music was filling our hearts with nothing but love. And whether I was running around at night falling in love or having my heart broken. I didn't stop dancing until the morning light..
