You can do it a few ways. You can use a sheet of scotch laminate pouches and press those on the canvas first then sublime as normal, or use polyester canvas, or lastly put a coating of polyacrylic on the canvas before sublimating.

Have you tried the blue painters tape? I realize it might be more expensive than masking tape

Where do you purchase the silicone bands you were speaking of at the end of the video? I have a big problem with the ends no matter what I do.
